Any 2 pieces ignores spell resistance.

I'm not 100% convinced on the beholder.

Given were in the underdark, the her could be some version of Lolth for example.

I also might be reading to much into it but the last video Jeff posted to his youtube channel ended with a flash of another familiar "her"

Actually - I had a question on that front.

There are quite a few lot of dragon oriented things in the game:

6 Dragonhide items that generally protect against dragons and as a set get +3 to saves and automatically succeed vs. dragon breath items.

Mithral Sextet - auto-kill a dragon with a Mithral sword on natural 20 with the right damage dots.

+2 Long Spear of Dragonslaying - auto-kill on natural 20 and the right damage dot.

Dragonbane surcoat - 10 retributino damage to dragons

Dragonscale Set: -10 fire damage (OK red dragons at any rate...)



Do you think we could ever actually encounter a dragon again? Or are these as useful as this, my favorite token

I'm going to say spell like ability... since shooting a ray at someone is != to casting a spell at someone. It's a innate ability of beholders eye stalks.



Also I think we could see Ropers, Beholders, (I'd love to see a Xorn but I think people would hate me if it happens!!!), dark gnomes/dwarves, we already had Myconid and drow. Abotheth (sp) maybe?

The under dark has such a vast and wonderful array of creatures. I'm so excited!

To me, it looks like there's a beholder hiding in the dungeon's logo..

That with the pun in the same logo, put me 100% in the beholder camp. Besides, it's a iconic monster that will draw people to play the game.
