I'm also a bit confused. I sent Matt my shipping money for nearly 30 tokens (not a cheap order) and $10 for priority, but never received any information from him on tracking, or even notification that it was sent out. And I certainly have not received any shipment to date, nor notification in my app that a package is on the way -- every single UPS, FedEx and USPS shipment hits the app as soon as my address is put in.

So, needless to say, coming here and seeing this...I'm very concerned.

I've had numerous purchases from Matt and all have gone perfectly. I hope and expect that Matt will make it right.

I have mixed feelings on USPS insurance. I've sent hundreds (thousands?) of packages, and buyers only wanted insurance on a handful of them. I've only had problems with a few packages, so insurance would be wasted on the rest. And, the few times I've had a delivery issue with a package that was insured, USPS never honored the insurance. I had clear evidence from the signature receipt plus the statement of the postal worker in one case that the package was delivered to the wrong address, and USPS still refused to pay the insurance money.

Regarding Friends & Family, I would guess that sellers would always/usually be OK with you not using friends/family as long as you sent enough extra to cover the PayPal fees. I always give that option.

Personally, have had no issue with Utaku’s auction items being sent or received. Also, haven’t run into any other issues with this community in terms of buying/selling/shipping since joining.

There have been service disruptions in many areas due to the weather, holidays, and overall supply chain issues still looming. Would give it more time for the package to show up at your address, or to be returned to Utaku.

As it is with anything else, it sucks when things get lost, damaged, or even worse-when you get ripped off. I hope that Utaku will make it right for you.

I had a package a few weeks ago that took over two weeks to make it from Georgia to Illinois (delivered on the 14th and the tracking still isn't updated for it). My package that Matt sent me on Monday arrived yesterday, tho

getting home safe might be a bigger issue for him. patience is a good thing.

To the community,

Thank you for your responses. Very helpful and gives me some optimism that there will be a good outcome.

The shipment was sent on Dec 10 - intra- California and disappeared on Dec 12 (return to sender). We only live 100 miles away from each other.

USPS didn't even look into the matter and said to file an insurance claim.

If there is one thing from this experience, use something other than USPS for valuable shipments.

If it's really valuable, USPS Registered mail is an option. Insurance is cheaper and can go much higher (unlimited?). It goes into a secure locked area. I've sent several (non-True Dungeon) packages that way.

I've never had an issue with Utaku in terms of Token transactions. My auction winnings (which weren't cheap) were shipped out on the 23rd and according to USPS are still "in transit arriving late". Whatever that means. A bit concerning, but I have faith the Token God's will see my shipment through.

Hi Joel and all-

I feel horrible about this situation and especially it coming over the holidays makes it even worse for Foal and anyone that lost an important package. As a quick update, I did send Joel an email to confirm the next steps will be I'm sending him a replacement order with tokens tomorrow as we wait for the "Return to Sender" package (typically take 3 weeks) from USPS.

With this in mind, I will be making some changes to the auctions moving forward:
1.) I will be ending sponsorships for auctions moving forward as I won't be able to take on the liability costs for the merchandise shipped in these auctions.
2.) I will be removing the $6 option on any future auctions and moving to a fully priority mail shipping policy.
3.) I will no longer be holding shipping for combined shipping unless the buyer purchases insurance.
4.) I will no longer be holding preorder auctions for future years to avoid any holiday shipping issues.

My biggest concern is I want to ensure I'm able to provide the level or service that the community deserves from a store, and I'm finding that very difficult these past months due to work and life commitments. The same level of service you would receive from your local gaming store or Trent/Kirk/et al, however as I can not give this a full-time commitment, I can't guarantee that service level you should expect.

Thank you all for your continued support this year and I apologies again for any bad experiences that the community has had with my offerings. I hope everyone had a great Holiday and have a Happy New Year come Sunday!

Sad to hear you won't be running any more sponsorship or pre-order auctions next year, from my experience you've been very well organized and have made it easy for the community to pick up Tokens that they've needed. But I respect you being open about your concerns to continue to provide top notch service.
