Beertram's Appreciation 8K Auction 75% Funded 1 year 7 months ago #25

The scroll is a physical scroll, it has been photographed on the harmonychords. It is illegible other than the title, the black ribbon, and the fact that it has a litany of fine print that takes up a full 8.5x11 sheet of paper. There were also what looked like two bars of money with it, not sure they're included, or just there as paperweight.

Everything on mine is readable. It certainly has a function.

If you enjoy playing VTD and can be nice to Goblin-folk, this scroll is for you.

I’ve only heard of 2 being redeemed for fantastical rewards/assistance.

But having one on hand for the upcoming Patron event titled “Grunnel Goes Home” may not be a bad idea.

…and you could always ask that Grunnel guy on Discord if they would….xyz…if you redeem it. Then you’d know in advance.

Up my bid to $40 please.

We had some great bids come in and we are currently at $7,020 out of $8,000. That puts us at 87.75% funded with 2 days to go. Keep the bids coming!

It is not looking great with about 36 hours left to fund. We are at $7,088 out of $8,000 to fund.

Remember there is a chance for every winning bidder to get a Golden Ticket! Also, At least the top 8 winning bidders get one of the random UR's.

Nobody has correctly solved the puzzle so far.

Sadly we failed to fund in time. We ended at 92% funded.

I think you will have better luck once the 2023 tokens are on tap.

Several have asked about the puzzle.
The puzzle was given in the 2nd message in this thread.

Solve this to win an ultra-rare.
Verified winners only should dare.
It is more than 2 from spring.
Less than 2 from gear.
Every one can help you get to 5.
Really not prime I hear

There were a number of answers sent to me. Some were very creative, but only 2 came close to the correct answer:
Impyreah answered Medium Gold Gear #14,
Nyrax answered Small Gold Reel (#18).

They both realized the answer was one of the Tinker Toys (spring, gear, helps you get to 5). And they both used the 3rd and 4th lines to narrow it down. Impyreah took the 5th line to mean the digits add-up to 5. However, they both missed the final clue. Without the final clue there are 7 (technically 14) answers which meet the criteria.

I will let people work on this more if they want. Technically a 2nd answer could work and I would have accepted that one too.

I'll share for fun that my completely wrong answer was PIG.

It contains more than two of the letters from SPRING, but less than two of the letters from GEAR. It helps you get to 5 when counting a child's toes ("this little piggy went to market..."), and according to the internet someone once filed a lawsuit based on the fact that there is technically no such thing as prime pork.
