These usually go for around a couple hundred bucks. I feel like someone is spite bidding and probably won't pay.

Sadly, yes.

I would love to own one of the binders, but not for crazy money. I would even be happy without the Bag of Holding woodie. I want to keep completion tokens in it. Well, ones not in my build anyway.

I bid early because it had a number of tokens I was looking to add to my collection (and I like the binders) but once it passed a couple hundred dollars, it wasn't worth it.

The items work more than $10-$15 were:
UR Celestial Long Sword
The binder itself
Bag of Holding
4 censers of sacrifice
2 Flasks of conflaguration
Gem of Blinding

Realistically, that combination of items would sell (on the high side) for about $300 - maybe $350. I'm guessing whoever is bidding this up this high is hoping to resell the rest. The problem is that 2005 tokens aren't terribly hard to find.

I hadn't heard of spite bidding either - unfortunate that is a thing. I hope the bidding is legitimate and the seller does well on this.

Wouldn't it take two people to bid it up? It could be that there are just two people determined to win the item.

Looking at the bidders, it appears there is one person with 430 transactions that had put in a very high reserve that beat out a bidder with only 21 transactions. That bidder with 21 transactions came back and bid a few times to find that high reserve and is now the top bidder.

I wouldn't be surprised if both bidders were legit, those binders are getting harder and harder to find. I'm glad I got a few for my wooden token sets long ago.

Trent probably needs one of the Tokens for his collection. Maybe I should stop bidding... ;)

I'd guess that Trent has more than 430 Ebay transactions, but I could be wrong, lol.

I guess it it time to get the dust off my last binder and head over to eBay. I do wonder why the seller bundled all those tokens with the binder. I bet he could get more for the tokens and binder seperate

I'm not sure, $800 is a pretty awesome combined price for that lot.

Of course, it's likely that for the next binder on eBay one of these two bidders will now have one and might not be bidding on another. You need two to get that eBay bid up. :)
