TOPIC: eBay purchase

eBay purchase 3 years 11 months ago #1

I bought a lot of tokens from eBay recently. The box arrived today; it was marked Media Mail.

I know that’s a bog no-no, but obviously the post office didn’t check it. But, the seller kind of planned for that. He had included a book in the box!

And it was even kind of appropriate-a copy of Sun Tzu’s Art of War.

And amongst the tokens were 3 older monster bits. The seller must have not noticed them, as they would have been better sold seperately.

Sometimes sellers throw in some freebies - the extra tokens may not have been an error.

I wonder if they could claim the tokens were "packaging" to keep the book fro shifting around :P

He had said he looked through the tokens and not seen any of value. I take that to mean he looked for purples, and that he spot checked the rare ones for pricey ones..

I have picked up many eBay lots where the seller was apparently unaware there were bits in it, since the names are written in black ink like commons.

Could be. But I'd say he threw them in as freebies.
"It's treason then."

I think you're probably correct, I've seen monster bits as part of token lots before, I think a lot of people don't realize they aren't commons.

This makes me think Monster Bits might need to be changed in color somehow to make them more understandable? Maybe not the token back to avoid skimming for them but change the font color to something else? White Maybe?
