Forum Auction - Golden Ticket 8 years 9 months ago #1

Hey kids,

Glory be but didn't I get what appears to be the last ticket for this year in my order the other day. Unfortunately for me, I live in the back end of nowhere and can't make it to Indianapolis in time for the GT run on Wednesday.:(

Since I've can't use it, here's your opportunity to lay hands on the last GT slot for 2015. Much like the other fellow who auctioned one off earlier, payment will be via PayPal. Delivery will be by tracked mail; I'd love to deliver it in person, but the winner getting it at 11:00 PM on the 29th kind of defeats the purpose of selling it on.

Bidding closes on July 12th at noon, Mountain time. Please post your bids here or send me an email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). I'll check in daily with any email bids I receive; bidders will be ID'd by their initials or their handle.

Thanks for reading and best of luck to you.

I believe your order triggered the 'one ticket left' message from TD. I wish you much luck and wish I had money to bid. If you are okay with letting a stranger run it and get the loot bag for yourself, that would knock it down into my price range, lol.

I actually think that is a great option. Some recent GTs went for around $800, for that price you may rather have say $100-$150 and the loot instead.

The Gamingetc auction closed at $778. Subtract ebay/paypal fees from that and it gets a lot cheaper :)

Yeah, it is amazing how little many GTs went for this year.

Yeah, they do tend to decline, but I sold one on 8/11/14 for $900.

Plus or minus 15% is not very dramatic, and not a big deal in a market this small. In my opinion, "amazing" is an overstatement.

EDIT: With only 40/year, if one or two big spenders decide not to but a GT, the price will drop quite a bit. If anything is amazing, I think it is that GTs so for so much last year. Coming down off of MCoF and Wertz and the RoR, GTs prices rose quite a bit from what I remember them being before. Last year seemed a bit tamer, and the cogs are basically non-transferable. So, all in all, I think this year is more the norm. Until things change again.

Right now, we're at "Make me an offer".

I'm mostly just trying to make sure the most people have the opportunity to partake as possible. About the only bid that I'll flat out reject is one that won't cover the cost of shipping, which is about $30 for a 5 day delivery.
