TOPIC: Does anyone have any experience with Magnetic Token Holder by Brad

Does anyone have any experience with Magnetic Token Holder by Brad 2 years 1 month ago #1

I'm looking for a token holder for Gen Con and I stumbled upon Does anyone have any experience with Magnetic Token Holder by Brad on TrentTokens. Does anyone have any experience with this holder? Is it sturdy? Is it safe for tokens? Thanks!

I bought one, then I went back and bought another because I liked it so much. They are hanging from my badge holder. They are easy to use and I have never had a token fall out of one. If I pound it on the table I can get the token to come out, but it takes some force. I give it 5 stars.

Thanks for the plug! There are many choices to carry and hold tokens!

I might have to grab one or two of these. I keep my tokens in the token bag and boards I bought from Trent, and then just leave the bag in bag check while I run. Still need to carry weapons with me though, and I'm constantly worried I'm going to drop them out of my pocket, or dislodge the $2000 worth of treasure enhancers from my pocket and drop them somewhere in the dungeon. Having my weapons just magnetically clip to my lanyard would be great.

For those who run rangers or monks, I highly recommend a token potion bottle sold by Trent Tokens. They hold four tokens on the outside with powerful magnets and a bunch of tokens inside (depending on the size you get). I have the glow in the dark small bottle.

I did runs at GHC with one and it worked like a charm! I have the small glow-in-the-dark bottle which holds 20 tokens inside, and I keep both melee weapons, my bow, and my Charm of Shadow Shot on the outside. At one point in a run, I had to switch from melee to ranged and it was a breeze (snap, snap, grab, grab!)...whereas in the past it was a scramble through my pocket. I keep healing potions inside, so those are easy to find, as well. I kept it clipped on a belt loop and the tokens on the outside stayed put. Hurry up and give Trent your money!

HAHA, I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! I enjoy those too. All of the items I sell I also use and/or test vigorously, so everything should be awesome and most importantly fun!

I have the large Glow in the Dark Token Bottle from Trent. It works like a charm and is easy to switch weapons and such. Magnets are strong and reliable. I highly recommend it. I like having storage for the expendable tokens too.

Trent already gave you an offer you can't pass up but here is a video. I can bang or swing it hard enough to dislodge them but I can't imagine that level of force if you are wearing it on a lanyard around your neck..... (ok, ok, a fist-of-cuffs with GibGub might pop them out!)

Sorry the video wouldn't upload, but here are pics

My son and I use magnetic wrist bands (normally sold to hold small tools and parts) and they work great, too. Throw them on in coaching, go through the run, pop them off and back in the backpack

Just in case you were seeking options
