TOPIC: Temporarily Reopened For More Downsizing

Thank you all that responded. I have not changed my mind and I have taken nothing but positive vibes from those that posted here. I love you all.

I am asking the high price because that is what they are worth to me. If I don't get the asking price then that's fine. I'll keep them for the day Rybak wants to adventure again with people he likes and made TD fun for him,.

If I go back to being a TD Volunteer I'll see you all next year. If not, I'll see you all while roaming the Halls of Gary Con, Origins, GenCon, Gamehole Con, and the various PAXs and wherever else gaming and Comic Conventions are being held.

But I won't be back here anytime soon. 2 weeks has come and gone, and as I knew, my Tokens won't sell. I don't need the money so I won't be selling them separate or in chunks and I won't do consignment because that takes money out of my pocket.

Maybe it's best that they didn't sell, they're ready and waiting now for when you want to return.

Beyond that, as pointed out, the price is high, though you have some really sweet tokens. And by what you said, doesn't sound like you really want out, just frustrated with something. Though I don't really know you personally, would hate to see a hard core player leave.

Much like everything in life, sometimes a bit of time off and away can clear one's mind and ease one's troubled heart. Don't give up man.

The reality is you have a nice collection but are asking more than fair market value during the worst time to sell.

We’re in the worst public health and economic crisis in 100 years. Have a bit of context. More than a fifth of the country is out of work now and there is no clear end in sight. You aren’t going to have people lining up to make offers when they are wondering about their jobs. Yes, you should expect offers far less than you are hoping. You are the one who is promoting selling them - people aren’t pitching you out of the blue.

If you seriously consider just tossing them, I would encourage you to consider It an opportunity to help others. Sell them on ebay and donate whatever is brought in to a worthy cause. Local food pantries are overwhelmed with demand, the rescue missions are lower on funds than they’ve seen in generations, programs to help people get back on their feet have far too few donors. Beyond those, there are long term causes that need help that we all know about (American Stroke Association, Alzheimer’s association, the Red Cross, etc..) If you don’t want to go through the trouble of selling them like that, let someone else use this as an opportunity to make a difference. I’d be happy to organize an auction benefitting the American Stroke Association or to benefit food pantries in your area and match the first $10K generated towards that charity.

Alternately, throw them in a box in the basement, unsubscribe from the forums for a year, then come back and see if you still want to play. If not, sell the tokens then (hopefully we’re out of this by then.)

I'm not sure what the form letter was, but I hope instead of those options you might set them aside until you want to play again.
