Crap we have to time travel back to 1019 and play true dungeon before it existed.

Are you sure? Maybe we'll have a time travel dungeon...

I'm against any relics needing any Golden Fleece, and any legendaries needing two or more need some serious justification other than "more pulls at the box means more fleece!", especially in a year where there is a recipe requiring 18 monster bits and another recipe requiring 4 bits.

I didn't like it last year, and I doubly don't like it this year.

Why are all the recipes so greedy for mystic silk - is that roughly the proportion coming out of a condensed pack?

I have so, so, so much more dark wood plank, dwarves steel, and philosophers stone than mystic silk.

If other hoarders could weigh in I’d appreciate it - I thought the shirt of blessed strength was designed to hoover up all the silk, and did a decent job.

Next:

Recipe for Belt if Ogre Mage Power seems out of like with its peers transmuted this year, but in line with Shirt of Blessed Strebgth.

I have bucket loads of MS and PS. But not DS.

For me it is tons of MS followed by DP. Everything else is far behind.

It really depends on what transmutes we've all been making.

It would be better if the Recipe #2 for the Legendary Lute had as a basis all four UR Lutes instead of the Relic Lute & two other URs, for those that collected all the UR Lutes over the years.

Agreed. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to scrounge up all these bits. I only get to make it to one Con a year.

I blame the maybe half-dozen people complaining about having too many monster bits and lamenting that they couldn't sell them for prices as high as they used to.

Matthew Hayward wrote: 2 (!) Golden Fleece per kilt.

I think it is good to have some monster bits in there given that fleece has been bouncing between 30 and 40 for a year or so and more cons + more Tes = more fleece without much more demand.

But 2 fleece per might be an over correction.

Up-voting.

Or should I say -1. This is too much fleece. Then 2/relic and 3/legendary...

Fine for the frequent con travelers. Really harsh on the Gen Con only crowd.

Idea on recipe duration:

I might like a policy announcement for the relics that feed into the legendary class items that those recipes might come back in the future.

Barring that, maybe an announcement that the class specific legendaries might add new recipes in the future.

I worry about classes being forever locked out of the best gear for their class, and I worry that as class specific items fewer relic and legendary items will be made.

Perhaps someone at TD hq could look at the number of +3 staff or focus / +3 baton of focus made vs. +3 viper strike fang to get a comparison point of how many class specific items tend to get crafted.

On the other hand, maintaining the status quo of “won’t reopen relic recipes” would make these more desirable now and in the future command higher prices...

Maybe I misunderstood the purpose of the Treasure Boosting Charm.

How likely is it that a newbie with a single rare Treasure Enhancer will have the monster bits to make one of these?

Assuming you meant "UR instruments" for both instance of "UR Lutes", I agree. The other ingredients may need to be adjusted upwards slightly though.
