TOPIC: 2019 Common Token Suggestions

This thread is to propose 2019 New Common Tokens.

Do we know anything about theme yet/ if were going to start brainstorming should we bug someone to create a 2019 sub form.

Good idea. The last couple of years, I started the development threads, and they were moved into the sub-forum when it was created.

I've heard it mentioned that we might be going to Patrick Rothfuss's "hell setting"

Three locations from Origins: The Underthing (from Pat's books), a decaying swamp realm, and a fiery hellscape

Something to think about is having common weapons/armor for every class because for adventures like the sealed quest, everybody needs a weapon. I know armor is less important sense the coaches have stats to fill in if players don't have armor, but still would excite players more if they have a couple of tokens for every player.

Although, I'm not sure if Jeff is planning to do a sealed quest again.

Figurine of power XXX : +1 to Fort saving throw before rolling (next year we could do will or reflex)

Potion of XXX : Cures 2 pts of damage but you are stunned for 1 rd

Reprint Turkey leg as : duck leg with a damage wheel consisting of nothing but ones

Treasure Runestone: If 3 are turned in, party treasure minimum is raised to 4

I'd also love it if we could work in some reference to Auri's light source (which she calls Foxen)

I second the thought: we need to really think through all 12 classes and make sure you can build a basic build for each character with just common tokens, just to support sealed pack runs (official or not).

+2 to hit with spell & scroll slides

I have always hated slide spells (scrolls, et al) playing spellcasters. Low level play is even worse where you can't just accidentally have a 24 Dex. A full cycle might be boring, but helping people who don't just Swap everything into BH or MM seems productive and can be placed anywhere in rarity.

Actually, an uncommon version that gave like +4 to hit with scrolls only shouldn't be lenses (due to Sage Speed) but be gloves or whatever.

Maybe this transmutes to some newbie friendly item - Blessed Decanter - purifies any liquid to fresh water that heals 1 hp when drunk 1/room.

I quickly foresee:
"We killed a monster, right? I pour its blood into the decanter and drink. That means I heal 1hp."

And

"I pee in the decanter and drink. That heals me 1hp, right?"
