TOPIC: 2019 Rare Token Suggestions

It was brought up in the reprint thread, but I personally would love a + reflex save charm if we don't see something like Charm of Enlightenment reprinted.

The discussion around the challenge level of Hardcore, and the Boots of Inferno Step (rare version of Boots of the North Wind-ish) has me thinking of UR tokens that don't have analogous rare versions, all of these I think could be nice to print at Rare someday.

Feet - +2 spell damage boots - Bard, Cleric, Druid, and Wizards
Feet - +2 damage with ranged physical weapons - All
Back - +2 AC, +1 Saves - Wizard
Back - -1 from melee, missile and spell - All
Eyes - +2 to dex - All
Eyes - +2 to hit with ranged - All
Finger - 1 each of -3 to fire, sonic, cold, and shock
Hands - +4 (3?) with 2 handed melee weapons - Barbarian, Fighter, Paladin
Hands - +2 to hit with melee weapons - All
Head - +1 to hit melee (or +1 to damage) - All
Ioun - +1 damage with Wands - Bard, Cleric, Druid, Wizards
Ioun - +1 to AC - All
Neck - +1 to STR and DEX (or STR and CON, or DEX and CON)
Shirt - +1 to healing and damage spells, polymorph damage - Bard, Cleric, Druid, Wizards
Torso - +3 DEX - All
Waist - +2 DEX - All
Wrist - +1 to CON and DEX - All

I agree - I think a +4 Reflex and a +4 Fort save charm would round things out nicely for red build charm slots.

A cycle of earcuffs that offer +2 to Reflex, then Will, then Fort similar to the just completed Intellect/Darkling/Bliss earcuffs at UC.

Isn’t 1 point the difference between rare and UR?

I guess for weapons it’s +1/+1

For armor it seems to be +1

For saves items it seems to be +1 to all theee.


Stat boosters are a bit more varied.

I'd like a Rare that adds Bardsong to wands, as well as a Mighty Longbow.

I think there is a lot of room to work with these ideas. Perhaps we should bring some of them along each year?

Rare reprint idea, bring back the Treasure Map Token from 2011. That was a really fun token along with the common Treasure Map fragment. Not hard to do and adds some excitement to the Rare level tokens and also gets the newbies hooked on the Treasure hunt side of TD.

Rare - Coat of Arms - Slotless - All (DP)

+1 AC if your torso slot is a rare

Rare - Master's Mark - Slotless - All (DP)

+1 melee to-hit if your melee mainhand is rare.

Rare - Greaves of Luck - Shins - All (MS) (Treasure Only)

+1 to saves
