Hey, all!!

I totally forgot about this after Origins. I was talking to the owner of CritSuccess there and was telling him how great his Life Counter rings are for TD. He is a fan, but hasn't done it yet.

Anyway, the Life Counter rings are back in stock and thinner and easier to use then the previous ones. I bought one and love it. They have different colors, but from firsthand experience the black one is better to see in the Dungeon. Yeah, I know, that's weird. But the blue one's shade was harder to see clearly than the black one's.

Anyone, I told him I'd pimp his ring for him here. I know these things have been out of stock for forever.

I bought two because I couldn't figure out which color would be best. I do agree that black is more visible than blue within TD.

I did, however, realize I like having two of them. One I set to my max HP and the other I set to my current HP. I find I have trouble remembering what HP I started the adventure with.

PS - I wear them on my thumb, I find that the easiest spot for them.

I used one last year and LOVED it! I would recommend them without hesitation.

I bought the blue one (cause I like the color) and didn't have a problem reading it in the dungeon. YMMV

I prefer wearing it on my index finger because when I curl my finger down, it holds the ring tight enough to allow me to move a spinner without letting the rest of the ring move.

In my opinion, totally worth $25 bucks!

They come in many, many sizes.

Head over to their booth at Gen Con and try one on. Just go early because they sold out last year.

Problem is, that's $25 each. I'm decking out 10 members, that's a quick $250. that I can ether spend on 10 rings or another token buy and get another UR.

Sorry but for me, the tokens win out.

OTOH, not a bad idea Per-say. Could cheap it by buying 10 Munchkin Kill O Meters and do the same thing for $7 each ($70 Total). Punch a hole in the top, attach a Key ring and wear it on my badge lanyard.

Plus if you are buying for a group you would need to get sizes for them. Not a terrible but also might not be the easiest. I think they are neat, but cost prohibited for me. Kirk mentioned buying 2 to remember his max HP. I think remembering Max HP is more difficult for my group than tracking life.

I actually have more of a problem trying to remember all the immunities, bonus's, perks for each. I've taken steps where I type them all out on Notepad, then print them out on card stock. Nice quick reference card when in the dungeon, then having to rescan all your tokens to see if you are covered on an effect.

Yeah that is a HUGE problem with my group because all the tokens reside with me so they don't see them but once a year for the few minutes we are in the coaching room. This year I am printing name tags with character class, Starting HP really big. Then it will have some of the immunities (and other tokens abilities) smaller underneath it. They will be able to stick the name tag to their shirts or their player card (preferably). I might not help much but it helped me typing them all out. So maybe I can remember the 12 different builds for each run that is possible someone may choose.....maybe. :)

I do the same thing, except I have a laminator at home so I use that on it after printing :)

I'm wearing mine on the thumb also. So much easier. And, like Druegar, if I curl my thumb a little it locks it in place so I can spin it.
