So you bought 17 tickets and you (or another active forum user) are using 8 of those you bought?

Something that I am seeing from post but not certain how to count are people that are reporting non-forum users buying tickets that they are using. So adjacent forum user bought X tickets and I will be using Y of them.


I am counting ghosting as Forum user when I know that it is the forum user that is will be wearing the wristbands.

I bought 20 tickets. Two complete runs. Of the ten of us, five are on the boards but I would say that only three of us are "active"...

Our group bought 2 full runs - 20 tickets.

2 of us are active on the forums, so 2 active tickets and 18 adjacent tickets.

Are you sure it isn't 4 active tickets? Are your active people going on both runs or just one of them?

In addition to being interested in how many tickets are actually purchased and/or used by forumites, I wonder how many are purchased or used because of us? It sounds like many of us have groups who play TD but aren't on the forums. I have a group of 5 others this year going on two runs, but they may not even be playing if I hadn't set it all up.

I figure that is the forum adjacent number. There may be some ticket purchase for non forum adjacent but I would be willing to bet it is very minor.

Our group bought 4 full runs and 2 true grind tickets (from Incognito). I'm the only one active on the forum, but the majority of the others are registered users.

Since the point of this is to gronk the representation of forum users in the TD population, I think it is worth factoring in the tickets utilized by the non-forum users who are represented by the forum user.

For example, at least half of my group could be considered "hardcore" players, with full knowledge of rules, meta, strategy, tokens, current news, and topics currently trending on the forum. But, they do not actively post to the forum. To discount this group is to create an artificial misrepresentation of the population of the TD user-base that is aware of the forum and represented by the forum users.It is worth doing a cross-segmentation of the active forum users from the non-active "forum-aware" users, but the latter group should not be dismissed.

Ticket Utilization Breakdown:

• Tickets purchase by a forum user: 42
• Tickets used by a forum user: 4
• Tickets used by forum-related individuals: 38

Total tickets reported 697 (this would be forum and forum adjacent tickets and maybe a few non-forum adjacent ticket). That is 8.57% of the total ticket pool. Average number of reported purchased is 25.

I know ticket usuage for 555 tickets (6.83% of the total ticket pool. 203 of the 555 are being used by forum users. Forum adjacent are assumed to be using the remaining 252 (though that is an assumption). So the 203 represents is 36.58% of the 555. The forum adjacent would assume to be 63.42% of that 555. That 203 (forum tickets) is 2.50% of the total ticket pool (8130). The 252 (forum adjacent) are 3.10% of the total.



I honestly think the only numbers that are usable because we are getting such a small sampling at this time are the 25 average number of tickets purchased and 36.58% and 63.42%, but that is just me.

Yeah, I post things for my group that they ask or answer the questions they have. So its almost "as-if" they are on the boards without actually having to do it. It would be unfair to lump them into a non-board effected user because they are being made aware of the stuff/changes etc via me.

I like to think of it as, my voice here has more than 1 person's sway behind hit as I'm the spokes person for my group.

For the purposes of my counting they are not active forum users. Next year if we want to count more things we can do so lol.

Along with other groups already listed here, I am on some normal puzzle runs with a group of guys that, AFAIK, are not on the forums. They certainly know the game and can outfit an entire party. So if you are from the 'Deep in the Heart of Texas'* group, give a shout out. Otherwise, they have 2 full runs and I will have 2 of those tickets.
