Vegas, baby! Cheap flights and rooms for everyone! Any gaming cons there now?

I could second this, cheap flights and rooms. This would be a good local.

while vegas sounds like a lot of fun and I would try to go myself, it would be very hard on the build team and Jeff to get things set up.

Basically the entire town is unionized (except for the Frontier if it still exists). Doing anything in Vegas without a lot of "grease" is just not going to happen.

I heard horror stories from past conventioneers there - convention center employees would approach exhibitors carrying a bag or a sign, and offer help: "let me give you a hand." Then you'd get a bill.

Also, there were pretty restrictive rules about the heaviest thing that a non-union member could carry through the convention center - 30 pounds or so, with no ability to use a wheeled device like a dolly. If you were seen in violation of these rules you would be prohibited from proceeding until the convention center staff could help you (for a fee).
