TOPIC: Quick question on 6th level XP benefit

Hey all, when I finish my 2nd dungeon this year I should have exactly 15000 XP and make 6th level (assuming all goes well).

At that point should I show my Medallion of Nobility and immediately get an extra treasure pull? Or do I need to be 6th level at the start of an adventure to get the extra pull?

According to "How to Play" page:

"At the event, the 6th level benefit of getting one free Treasure Coin will be given to anyone who displays the 5th, 7th or 8th level item."

I read that as showing the 5th, 7th or 8th level reward will get you a pull this year. So show your Medallion on your first run.

As somebody who is only Level 3... how does one actually receive the Medallion of Nobility when you hit Level 5?

Yeah, I see that you *can* show your Medallion at 5th level and get an extra treasure pull, but I assumed you weren't supposed to. I had an impression that there was a sort of honor system going on with the 6th level benefit until a better solution could be found, but maybe I'm wrong?

In prior years, you got it at the XP desk once you hit 5th level. I believe now you will enter your XP after the event is done, order the Medallion online and then it will be sent to you.

You could be right. I am reading anyone as anyone not anyone at 6th level or greater....

I've lost track of the benefits somewhere along the way. What was 7 and 8? One of them was that pin, right?

That is my reading also. If you have one of those items and can show it, you qualify for the benefit this year.

I seem to remember some post saying that the XP system would be off-line until after the con for a big re-write (but I can't find it), therefor they can't use the computers to tell what level you are during the con. Last year I reached level six during my first run and I got a treasure payout as a 6th level char. I guess they are just counting on the 5th level's to be honest (or they could handle a couple extra tokens "lost" here and there). My only concern would be handing off of that token I guess.

Is there a spot on the party card for the medallion this year, or will they look for that in the post run room?

8th is a pin, not sure what 7th gets you.

7th gets you the bright purple badge holder

I'm starting to feel like xp levels are the equivalent of sending in boxtops off of cereal boxes. Level 9 should get you the TD secret decoder ring.
