TOPIC: Able to transmute a Rod of Seven Parts at GenCon?

I am very confident all will be ok (but I bought insurance anyways)!

The problem with insurance is you have to prove the value of whatever it is. It's not simply whatever you declare it is. In the case of the rod, you'd be pretty borked trying to prove the value unless you bought it from ebay or something like. I collected it over years or I bought it from some random guy for that price won't work unless there is a receipt for the item.

I think you just have to prove replacement value. A receipt may show an item is worth $1000 dollars, but if it can only be replaced for $2000, and that is what you insured it for, you should be ok.
