TOPIC: No Nightmare/Hardocore runs listed

Re: No Nightmare/Hardocore runs listed 9 years 11 months ago #25

We buy sets of 10, if lucky enough to do so, even though we sometimes don't have 10 playing. This is due to 1. Get Nightmare runs, 2. Runs for our extended team of 10, 3. Runs with just my immediate family (currently burns 9 tickets, 1 spare with soon to be 10 and no spares).

Actually this reminds me of a suggestion from another thread about having purchaseable ghost passes for extra loot. I think it was the Relic/Legend event thread, but I'm not sure. If I'm remembering it right the idea was that for $5-10 or so you could buy a wristband that would give you an extra tickets worth of loot so people could farm treasure tokens without taking up actual slots.

HoP + RoR + CoGF = 7 to 16 treasure chips plus completion tokens. $10 is way, way too cheap for all that, in my opinion.

Even if we're only talking 3 chips plus completion, I don't think $10 is enough.

But I'd rather see something along these lines than have people buy up tickets solely for ghost loot and depriving someone else from playing. If you're buying out the slot for a non-token-related reason, like the ones Raven listed, that's another story.

That might be workable for about $40 for the treasure chips. It would be problematic to include completion tokens since Jeff already has a tough time figuring out how many of each to get.

Ghost runs are, buying the entire slot at full price and getting the treasure.

Most people don't farm for treasure pulls.

There's one thing that I don't quite understand. If you are doing a run with less than ten people and you are equipping the extra characters with treasure enhancing tokens, you show those tokens to the coach at the beginning and they would be marked on the party card. Why then do you have to show them at the xp desk at the end as well?

I figure it is to keep someone from logging a HoP that really isn't theirs and then passing it 'back' to a group that is following them on another run. While I imagine that would happen very rarely, it is always the sneaky ones that ruin it for the rest of us.

Or just adding a check mark to the sheet in the dungeon. It's basically just verification.

Are you saying that some people have done entire runs as ghost, with nobody actually doing the run and just claiming the 10 slots worth of treasure coins and participation tokens? I hope that is never allowed to happen, that would be an entire run that 10 other people could have participated in.

I wonder how many people have run with multiple bracelets for the express reason of getting extra treasure pulls (instead of wanting the challenge of doing a run with fewer people).

I have done a lot of runs with less than 10 people.
If one person bought whole slot and didn't run it would be a waste of money. The HOP is useless without the stamps. I think people are forgetting that.

You could still get 70 pulls without a single stamp if you had all 10 slots plus 10 CoGF and 10 RoR. Pretty improbable and doesn't stack up well on the cost/benefit aspect though.

Might have worked out last year, but we will never see that bounty from pulls again.
