TOPIC: Thank You to Laz, Raven and Everyone Else

I just wanted to thank Lazlo for allowing Lynette and I on your grindrun at WYC. You definitely made us newbies feel welcome, and it was alot of fun. A big thank you to everyone else in the party (sorry I didnt get all of your names) as well... a real pleasure meeting you all.

Lastly I want to thank Raven for making our first grind experience amusing and very memorable... even though I will be seeing Blink Dogs in my sleep.

To everyone else I missed who helped set this up (Jeff and the crew)... THANK YOU!!!

Thanks to all for a great run. And thanks for the loan of some awesome tokens to my son who can now say he has used a rod of seven parts.

Tremendous fun on both the Mini-Adventure and the True Grind! Thanks to the people that let me go on the runs with them, all of the incredible teammates on both runs, and the great DM's throughout! Eric and Raven did an especially great job of juggling multiple combat boards simultaneously in True Grind! And all of the DM's in the mini-adventure did a fantastic job!

Thanks to Jeff for putting on the WYC events and transmuting and coordinating everything, Stu for being a great public face for TD at the entrance, and of course Dave and Drake and everyone else for spending so many hard hours transmuting tokens for people! It's too bad there wasn't more room in the room, I'd have loved to have pitched in to help transmute tokens

I think in the future some sort of mini-adventure like that at GENCON would be a great idea, perhaps to introduce a bunch of new players to True Dungeon. It could be simplified like this one was, with pre-generated character cards, and maybe the players could get a special 10-pack of tokens at the start, including gear and consumable tokens. The tokens could be specially marked so that only those tokens could be used in the event (or maybe that wouldn't be necessary given the pre-generated character cards already only allows consumable tokens to be used). And XP could be given only to new players, to help aim it at newer players. Of course, as always, available space and volunteers might limit whether this is possible, but it's worth consideration.

I was concerned about fitting 4 dungeon rooms in that space when I saw it on Friday night, but the dungeon didn't feel crowded at all. Thanks to John, Michelle, and the other GMs for a quick, fun run. Jeff also deserves extra credit for creating a final room that was uniquely geared to the audience, yet still challenging. It was "meta gaming" at its finest!

Yeah, wasn't that final puzzle in the mini-event a great send-off for the TEP goodness at WYC?

Thank you to all the volunteers who made WYC so fantastic! This was the first official token trading party that I was able to attend, and I loved every minute of it. It was great spending time with so many TD friends both old and new.

Both the mini event and true grind were a ton of fun. I was very impressed that such a small room was transformed into a complete 4-room dungeon. And the final puzzle was perfect for us! I also thoroughly enjoyed using my brand new Mad Envoker's Charm during the grind and then finally killing myself with it to deliver my final blast to the Ember Dragon!

Whatever. You can tell yourself whatever excuse you want if it makes you feel better! Still doesn't change the fact that you're DEAD!

Ironically enough, killing you was sort of an accident (as in I wasn't intentionally gunning for you). It just sort of happened as a byproduct. But that doesn't make it any less sweet!

I was impressed by how effective your used the Mad Evoker's Charm (and how Eldritch healing helped compensate for all the damage you took).

Nice job working with the Halfling Fighter to finish off Ember!
