TOPIC: 2014 Tokens Arrving Today! Monday!

The TD Gang and I put in some 12 hour days on Thursday and Friday, and we were able to get many of the "big" orders out on Saturday. It appears that some of those orders will be arriving today. Enjoy!

NOTE: Due to the increase in the size of the 2014 Token Collection pool, the odds of pulling a Golden Ticket were diminished this year. (This happened last year, too.) Some of the $8K buyers may not pull a Golden Ticket due to this. The size of the token pool as increased slightly every year, and the number of Golden Tickets has remained constant.

If you are a big buyer and don't pull a Golden Ticket, I am very sorry and I hope you know how much we appreciate your support. We plan on making Who's Yer Con as fun as possible in 2014, and I really want to amp it up in 2015 -- if space is available.

Thanks to everyone for the early funding of True Dungeon. It has really helped with the quality of the event since we have had the time and funding to make some very cool props and scenery.

Jeff, congratulations on the ever-increasing size of token sales! With the increase in GENCON visitors again this year, hopefully that will translate into even more new players and token buyers!

The effort Jeff and his gang put into making True Dungeon a reality is massive.

I am friends with some of the people that help Jeff with this task and other tasks. I get to hear all about their struggles and effort in making True Dungeon happen. If you get a chance to meet any of those fine people buy them a drink and say Thanks!

Yeah...the growth of TD and Gen Con Indy has been amazing. I'm actually a bit worried about the availability of tickets for token collectors and volunteers in 2014. A few years we have run into BIG issues with volunteers who had their schedules before event reg, but they were not able to find TD tickets around their provided schedule. This has caused MAJOR scheduling issues, and this was when we only had two dungeons. I shutter to think what could happen this year. It could actually be a huge problem to overcome and manage at the event.

How much trouble would it cause to let volunteers pre-buy tickets?

For the record, the 8K split I was part of did not get a GT last year, so it is not a given.

Though the fact that I got an extra Rod part 6 makes me wonder...

I'd be shocked if GenCon actually allowed volunteers to pre-buy tickets.

Because they can't make an exception for one event, no event's volunteers can buy tickets ahead of time.

Would it be possible to Run events just for volunteers and make arrangements with Gencon to pay for them (if that is required)

Don't they already make some exceptions to their process to enable us to buy out slots? And don't they let the big TCG outfits run events that more or less bypass the event registration system?

Not to mention the VIG only runs? Sounds like there are a lot of exceptions already.

Gencon volunteers can't even buy tickets ahead of the general release.



and wow! 8K buyers may not get them? next year I might just skip the pre order and wait on the secondary market instead

I've spent well over 8k by now and not ended up with one yet. Same diff. I keep hoping.
