In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

And from what I see it is 28K, so you should be fine.

For that matter there are 9 players on the top player board within two hardcore/nightmare runs of 9th level - 36K if the pattern holds.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

We didn't get an extra room either. Of course, we died in the seventh room, so that might have been the problem...:P

Next year, I hope they get enough turned in Golden Tickets to fill out all four runs.

Every year the Golden Ticket has had an "extra room" ... it's not a real room though: it's something like the Deck of Many Things, or the Team Brawl, or the Traveller's challenge which resulted in several players this year receiving a Ring of Heroism.

That bonus room has never been worth extra XP before, though.
I do not think it was supposed to be worth extra XP this year either.
