In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

If casters or rogues know their class's test and don't want to "study" something they know by heart, they are welcome to practice sliding in the training room. If you want to memorize another class's skill test, that's fine too. BUT... (it's a very big but) once in the adventure only the bard may take the bard skill test, just as only the rogue may attempt the rogue's box, etc.

In addition, other players may not give hints to "help out" another class. E.g., if a newbie bard doesn't know the runes, the veteran wizard who has memorized all the skill tests may not whisper in the bard's ear to give answers.

But I would assume that they can tell the group if they see a bard rune on a object or wall which rune that is?

Yes. It's the tests themselves that do not allow help/clues.

I did know that you couldn't take the class test for someone else's class and it had never come up about helping on a test, but that's very good to know.

As I said before, I don't really see any value in knowing any class's memorization test other than Bardic Runes and that's only to identify the ones throughout the dungeon.

Everyone knowing sliding is always good, but I imagine many people don't have the time to practice if they're not a combat-primary class.

I think it makes sense for newbies to get a flavor for the various skill tests to see how they work and judge whether they want to try that class next time, but whispering in people's ears is pretty much like having one person slide all the pucks.

Oh yeah, it totally makes sense. It just never even occurred to me or anyone we've run with to help on class tests, I guess.
