In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

TOPIC: Builds

Builds 10 years 9 months ago #1

I didn't see this listed in the Categories section and nothing specific by searching.

Is there any section setup for Build discussions? I would think there would be a forum section and a category for each class.

I am looking at builds for Monks and Barbarians. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

What level of gear are you looking for (ie do you want builds with lots of purps or limited to rares)

Well, if there were categories for each class I would guess Common/Uncommon, Rare (no UR), 1-2 UR, and cost is no object!

Me personally I have a number of UR but am trying to gauge what a good +hit, +dmg, and AC would be for my class. I would think those also would be good attributes for the above groupings.

Here's my current Barbarian build:

+2 Great Club of Bashing
Heavy Repeating Crossbow
Archer's Buckler
Helmet of Fortitude
Lens of the Hawk
Earcuff of the Wind
Earcuff of Intellect
Amulet of the Wind
Shadow Cloak
Silverweave Shirt
Heartwood Armor
Bracers of Fire
Gauntlets of Ogre Power
Ring of Brilliance

Ring of Envervation
Belt of Ogre Power
Boots of Sure Footing
Ioun Stone Beryle Prism
Ioun Stone Topez Sphere

Ioun Stone Mitheral Pyramid
Rod of Seven Parts (Seg 4)
Charm of Rampage
Wicked Charm
Cadaver Charm

That gives you a +8 to hit, +14 to damage, 18 AC, +10 Fort, +5 Reflex, +5 Will

Obviously there's alot of other thing you can do.

Would anyone else think the following new Forum Build would be useful:

1st Category Level: Builds
2nd Category Level: Each Class
3rd Category Level: Rarity (Common/Uncommon, Rare & Below, 1-2 UR and below, Anything Goes)

That sounds like a great idea. Having one place to discuss the merits of one token or another would be a helpful resource for new players.

That would help new players. Heck it would even help existing players. Henwy and I were going over a few TD things at Origins and even he was shocked to learn that one of the best sets for the Bard to wear is GREEN!

The footman's set is pretty much the best you can put on a Bard without spending megabucks on URs. Even then the difference in using URs is just not that much.
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.
