In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

TOPIC: Treasure Tokens

I suspect that many more tokens are held in reserve than we anticipate. The value of the metal/plastic I suspect is too high to just "destroy" them, especially considering the titanic mass of commons out there. But pulling the stickers off (which, out of curiosity, I tried and can tell you is easy and leaves the token clean and ready for a new label) is no quick and easy task...unless they have a special machine to do it or have a horde of workers in China or something...

it shouldnt be the case
The only way that should have happened was from the treasure map ones

Hrm. So you can make plat URs? Or swap stickers between a gold HoP and an onyx Duck?
I guess that's not surprising, but it's still disturbing.

It has been my experience that the sticker gets destroyed.

Treasure Map Box had an eclectic selection of tokens (woodies, old monster ingredients, etc).

Regular Treasure Box had no old monster ingredients in my experience. The odd common and uncommon still found their way in though.

Ah yes, I remember now. Yes, those pulls I mentioned were from Treasure Map boxes. Silly me. :pinch:

And yes, although the stickers come off without too much trouble, the sticker is pretty much destroyed. If you were to print off a new sticker, however...

Edit: Even though the older tokens weren't in the regular treasure boxes, it still goes to show you that they don't just destroy all the turned in tokens.

I think that between the multiple monster hoards in the dungeon that we've seen and the older tokens in the Treasure Map Box it's pretty clear that Jeff keeps a lot of the turned-in tokens stored - at least those that he thinks someone will want again some day.

Additionally, it SHOULD be fairly easy to bathe the tokens in a mild solvent bath to remove the stickers and prepare them for future use. I'd hope that we're recycling them rather than dumping them in the ground...
