In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

I run a haunted house and go to the same show Jeff does for costumes and props. You wouldn't believe how much werewolf costumes cost. (One full run of 10 people won't pay for 1 silicone mask...and adding hair adds to the base price of masks.)

I was mostly worried about the volunteer issue, that it'd be too hard to find enough people to cover all of the runs (especially since there's such a big expansion this year). But apparently the increased exposure from being right next to the front of the Con last year gave TD the bump it needed!

You know I may be in the minority here but I kinda miss the old space. Seemed more like a cool con within the con (and felt a lot less cavernous then the high ceilings in the new space). Still I'm happy to see the event grow.

Thanks to you too Jeff! TD is the coolest thing going on out of all of the major conventions (IMHO)! I'll keep coming back for more - count on it!

They say that the best weapon is the one you never have to use. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to use once! Oh - and if you really need to think about whether you're going to use the fireball or the + umpty staff of butt-whooping - you're likely to find yourself full of arrows, or fangs, or nasty knives & swords and such. Don't think - just shoot!

I agree about the ceilings in the new space being too high, but the comments about the event being so much more visible and a part of the Con are spot on.

Also, Jeff, remember that the best advertising you have is all of us. It matters more that we tell our newbie friends about the "must-do" event at GenCon. My partner and I feel that we have done our duty, as we have three direct friends attending GenCon for the first time in years to whom we have highly recommended TrueDungeon. Then, they've told the friends they're coming with, as well. In all, it could be six new TrueDungeon players, on top of the other five people we usually run with, and the fact that some of us have bought extra tickets to experience the second storyline, as well.

You're doing great, as you can tell. Keep putting your effort into making the Dungeon great. We'll do our best as volunteers and as the best advertising you can get.

(Although, a friend noticed that big names like the cast of The Guild, Patrick Rothfuss, etc. had really good things to say about TrueDungeon, which verified our suggestions and pushed him over the edge on wanting to do a run.)

Congrats! Now - let's do this thing!
Blessings to you,

I miss the old location (proximity to the hotel) though I do like the new space (but not where it is situated). I also miss the "cleaning solvent" smell of the old place! :P

First off I prefer the new space! But I do miss the nicely maintained Marriott restrooms. As compared to the seldomly maintained ones in the convention center.

You're right, the restrooms were nicer.

I miss being able to run to my room and back to the dungeon in just a couple minutes.

I agree, though, the new location overall is better.

I would be delighted if we could TARDIS-ize the convention center into the Marriott ballroom.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
