In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

TOPIC: THANK YOU for your support!

THANK YOU for your support! 10 years 10 months ago #1

All I can think to say is thank you! It appears that we have sold about 6,800 2-hour event tickets so far today -- which compares well to the 5,400 total we sold in 2012. I was very worried about ticket sales this year because I have been so busy with my job at Dwarven Forge, that I have not had much time to promote the event. And in truth, I was a little worried about the price increase this year. It was unavoidable, and absolutely necessary, but I was not sure that the casual TD player would stomach the increase.

This is a HUGE weight and worry off of my shoulders, and I am so happy not to have to sweat this any longer. I have a nice list of stuff to order on Monday -- including some awesome werewolf costumes.

Anyway, thank you all so very much for your support -- and your vote of confidence. All of it is much appreciated!

Thanks for all that you do behind the scenes Jeff.

As long as you keep improving TD and are open to change and new ideas as you always have been, you will always have a solid fan base for TD.

Yes thanks so much to Jeff and all the volunteers who make it possible...so much fun!!! This 87 days can't really pass fast enough...got the essential runs I was looking for, might pick up a couple more. So excited for this year's event and glad ticket sales went well so far. I'm pretty sure this year will be...wait for it...Legendary!

As the ticket buyer for my group the increased price does pinch a bit but its worth it.

Supply and demand is looking a bit better on the supply this year due to the extra run but we'll still hit a total sell out I'm sure so thats good.

I'm super excited and can't wait to see it!
Sweet a combat room, we won't take damage!

Agree as the ticket buyer for my group, the price increase was a bit of a pinch but everyone to a man wasn't about to let $6 stand in the way of by far the best part of GENCON, especially this year when everything is pointing to EPIC!

Agreed as the ticket purchaser. I did have to buy 1 less run than I would have wanted because the $6 adds up fast when you are buying in bundles of 10.

I actually upped from 3 to 4 runs this year even with the increase. one each Thurs and Friday, and two sat night including a nightmare.

What? Werewolf costumes? With the price increase I thought we'd have actual werewolves!

Jeff's probably having issues with the werewolf union. They've gotten really uppity since the whole Twilight franchise made them famous.

Jeff,

Thanks for making such a great event to participate in, and thanks to all the Volunteers for making the event so wonderful!

Hopefully there won't be any price increases again for awhile, I suspect you might have a lot of people dropping off if the price hits $50 or close to that. I'm glad to see also that you are selling so many tickets this year!

He could always try negotiating with the Lycans from Underworld as an alternative. They haven't had work in a while.

And thanks to Jeff for another awesome year, btw.
