In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

They say that the best weapon is the one you never have to use. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to use once! Oh - and if you really need to think about whether you're going to use the fireball or the + umpty staff of butt-whooping - you're likely to find yourself full of arrows, or fangs, or nasty knives & swords and such. Don't think - just shoot!

and...

Please do not check your human kindness at the door of the dungeon. Bring it with you. I promise that you will have more fun if you do.

Be kind to volunteers - that's everybody who makes the dungeon happen - ticket takers to coaches to DMs to NPCs to customer service to tech crew. Everybody works hard to bring the dungeon to life, and everybody deserves respect - including to not be yelled at, groped, insulted, or demeaned. (I promise that if you are kind to us, we will go out of our way to make your experience great.)

Be kind to other players - we're in this one together. If you work together with the focus of having a good time, it'll happen.

Be kind to the dungeon - leave the dungeon itself intact and in great shape for all of the parties that will follow you.

Gamers are good people. Let's maintain that reputation in everything we do inside and outside of game.

Thanks!

Remember. It's Druegar's DEATH die. You might want to think it over before you try.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

But hey, even if he smites me for jingling his die, I could still get a raise out of it ;)

For The Record
In spite of some of my jocular posts in this thread, I want everyone--of all genders--to know I and all the other TD Coordinators/Directors take the subject of harassment very seriously. If you are subjected to it at any time during your shifts or while going through a True Dungeon adventure, please please please let me or a Coordinator/Director know about it immediately.

We have your back.

Sans jest – it is great that TD is working to keep this kind of crap from ruining the experience for others. My joking is just an attempt to lighten a sad topic – sad that it is ever even an issue.

With jest – I only roll willing dice… (insert dice bag joke here).

I'm very glad that you do take it seriously (are there policies?). My efforts here are to encourage gamers to become aware of their behavior in game and to bring attention to the gaming culture's tendency to demean and sexualize women. It's a difficult culture to change because there is so little awareness within a community that has been so overwhelmingly male. It's good that you're open to hearing about when things go wrong, and it's better if we can shift the culture so that it never happens. This is an issue that expands well beyond True Dungeon, GenCon, and gaming culture. It's pervasive in our society. Change can start anywhere.

Thanks again!
Blessings to you,

Hi all! I wanted to take a moment from my TD work to voice support for this thread. Well stated Deaterrae.

As noted, harassment will not be tolerated. If witness to improper behavior, please contact an Adventure Coordinator or Director to help handle the situation.

We'll see you all soon!
