In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

Anyone know where grind fits in this year in terms of story line this year. i.e. last year grind had us fighting our way into the mountain, the year before we were looking for the map to the lich's layer.

The event description says:

"True Grind: "Survive the Night!" In this hackfest, players must try to survive until sunrise inside a cabin while it is attacked by all manner of foul beast.."

To me that sounds like you are in the forest with nasty beasties (were-critters) on your trail, you find a cabin and you try to wait it out till sunrise. Just a guess. Maybe Incognito can shead some light on the context of the subject or maybe he'll just keep us in the dark (for an hour or until dead).

Yes, the True Grind cabin is located within the Dark Forest (where Lycans Afoot is set).

Depending on how Lycans Afoot starts off, True Grind will probably be after (but possibly before) it.

I would guess that it probably happens before the Golembane tower (that's the safer answer, since who knows how Golembane will end!).

Ok so it would be safe to call it a stand alone event that takes place around the same time and place rather than part of the "main story"
