TOPIC: Trading Tokens Here

The useage of the token is based on the item it represents. If it is a single-use item (gold, potion, etc.) then you hand the token to your GM when you use it.

If it is a multi-use item it will have "check boxes" on the token - as you use it, the GM will check off those boxes. Once the last one is checked I believe the GM will take the token. (Not 100% sure on that)

Other items that do not get used up are yours to keep and use year after year. Just make sure your GM is aware you have it.

Not that the Treasure Tokens are not my area of expertice and some of these comments may be incorrect - this is based on last year's usage.

Just read this years "treasure token info pack" and what Lance said about items with charges being collected when the last charge is used is correct.

Some of the new items sound like they could be a lot of fun.

For TD SoCal and TD in Indy '05, will Potions of health become more common? Apparently, we had a friend spend 5 hours of buying and trading for tokens, and she found only one potion of healing after all that time.

I'm going to have a better selection of things to trade in the Tavern in the future. This was the first time I dealt with the Tokens and I had a lot to learn during this event. Sorry finding things to buy was a big issue. We will improve next time.

Thank you very much for that write up - it was fascinating to read and very informative about the in-game economy that is forming. Having a player's perspective on it is very valuable.

One item you may want to add is the "Scroll of Light". I'd estimate the value at about 25GP.

Ya know, considering the rarity of Light sources, I'd estimate its value at higher than 25... Potion of DarkVision (a Rare) was going for 35+. Hm.. do you know if Scroll of Light was a Common, Rare, or Very Rare?

Speaking of which, would anyone be willing to help me out by posting a list of Tokens which are in the newer printing? I've only got the old list (the one on the web page). If someone could go through the pamphlet which came with their Treasure Token Kit and list the new additions for me, I'd really appreiate it!

As far as I know (having never received one), the Scroll of Light is a common. Usually, I'd value a Scroll less than a Potion as a general rule as more people can use the Potions (especially if you lose a mage class or two).

Ah, good point (about the Scroll vs. Potion usage). I'll try to keep that in mind when estimating future values.
