TOPIC: Medallion of Greyhawk

I'm probably a bit late to this party, but regardless:<br /><br />Is it still possible to create the combo item Medallion of Greyhawk?  <br /><br />A)  Can you create old combo items at Gencon this year (I think I saw a post that said yes, but wanted to confirm)<br /><br />  Are there items that no longer exist that I need to be concerned about?  I'm guessing the older trade items are hard, but not impossible.  At the same time, seems like quicksilver is terribly hard to find.<br /><br />Thanks!

No. They're only available for one gencon and then never again.

Correct.  Past year's combo items are no longer available through True Dungeon Official channels (me).  <br /><br />You may, however, be able to find a trader/collector with an extra one for trade at one of the events. 

There is one on Ebay now.

Ok, cool.  Was curious if I could start a "side project" of trying to create a really cool combo item.  <br /><br />So basically, old ingredient tokens are pretty much worthless then?<br /><br />Thanks.

I would not say they are worthless...there is a plan being discussed to make a BOUNTY for said old ingredient items...<br /><br />What the BOUNTY will be could be interesting...perhaps choice of a RED token from the current set, or maybe a Reserve BAR or even perhaps a Trade item.<br /><br />Hard to say what could happen...don't just pitch them!

I'm good...enough dungeon runs made for enough ingredients...<br /><br />I may need a few retro odds and ends...but that can wait until GenCon.

If you do still have Ghoul Tongue, Dryder Silk, Stone Spider Fang, Quicksilver, Ectoplasm, or Shambler Slime, they have some trade value to collectors, since most of them were turned in last year.  They probably won't get you a Medallion of Greyhawk, but you might get more in trade from a collector than you would from the official ingredient bounty trade. <br /><br />(If you have those ingredients to trade, feel free to PM me.)<br />

I do not have much in the way of ingredients.  I did pretty well in my opinion at True realm (Boots of Warmth, a Purple, some decent gold) and was planning on leverageing trade via those items and gold. <br /><br />Unfortunately, I got laid off on Monday so I had to put the boots of warmth and gloves of deflection on Ebay in order to meet some more pressing needs.  Not food and water -True Dungeon tix for Gencon   Hehe.  Its either have a cool collectino and sit at home, or keep playing with what I've got.  <br />

If its really for a good cause like that, I might even bid on the boots. You started ther gloves kind of high, which can sometimes discourage bidding. Funny though, one side effect of TR seems to be to have made the token trade active this time of year.
