TOPIC: Trading at True Realm

As an update for official trading at True Realm (that is trading with TD - me).<br /><br />1. I will have two time slots each day early and late where I will be available for trading.<br />I will finalize the times where appropriate in the schedule and post.<br /><br />2. I may, if it works out, have surrogate "official" traders that would be conscripted to be available at other times during the day, but that may need to be worked out at the last minute.  Again, we will announce and post.<br /><br />3. Trading for Reserve bars and Trade items in large quantites should be arranged with me for a time outside of the normal "official times".  I can then process the tokens and get your trades back to you at a later time or the next day.  By large quantities, I am thinking of trades involving more than 150 tokens total.  Note: this does not apply to Combos.    <br /><br />4. If for some reason, we run out of Trade Item Tokens (as we did with Dwarven Steel last year) we will issue vouchers.

Can we bring in huge orders and leave them with you for shipping to us later?  Just in case all my run times are just as you are doing trades?  And when you say large orders is that over 150 tokens we give to you or you would give to us?

He's probably thinking of 150 tokens he'd have to count (i.e., the number of tokens we'd be giving him).<br /><br />I can't see trading for 150 Trade Items (times about 25 = ??? eee! way to many to count "on the spot").

<br /><br />If you are talking about turning in tokens for Trade Items (Hide, Steel, Oil, Planks, Bismuth, Aragonite, and Parchment), then yes you can turn those in any time.  If you are referring to the Two Trade Combos (Axe and Orb), then you would need to find a proxy.<br /><br />

<br />Over 150 coming to me.  I mentioned it else where, the thing I am most concerned about, even with a few people there to help me is long wait times in line for all people wanting to trade.  Bulk trades for items, just as for Reserve Bars, really need to be arranged outside of trading times.  The only exception I can see is if everyone else has already finished trading and I am sitting there with no one waiting, and nothing to do...  <br /><br />We will treat the Combos Trade Items (Axe and Orb) just like we did at GenCon, we will form a line and cycle people through.  In this case since the event is smaller, we will allow one of each combo to be made each time through the line until combos are gone, if it comes to that.  So if you want to make 15 of one of the combos you will likely go through the line a few times.  <br /><br />So I am going to make an effort to be available 4 times during the event, I need to look at the schedule some more to determine the exact times but I am guessing it will be early afternoon and later in the evening, each day of the event.  I am also considering having a few people as conscripted traders with an allotment of tokens able to take trades in for me other times during the day. 

We have a large volume of tokens to trade in. Your approach sounds reasonable. If we can't match up times, we can leave them with you and you can send us the trade items in the mail. I would guess you will need the conscripts, since I think many people will have many more than 150 tokens to give you.

Just ask for me when you get to the event.  I can take the tokens off your hands and get the trades back to you later that day or the next.  If all else fails, yes I can send them to you.<br /><br />Dave
