TOPIC: 4C Token

4C Token 15 years 1 month ago #1

Hi Jeff and Dave,

I hope you continue to require the multi-year Ingredient Tokens for the 4C Tokens. I think it really helps add excitement to the Treasure Draws when you know you need to get the Ingredient Tokens for the BIG Combo Token at the end of each multi-year adventure.

And, there seem to be plenty of 2008 ingredient tokens in circulation, so anybody that still needs any should be able to get them without too much trouble. Plus, maybe if you announce before True Realm that the ingredient tokens are needed for the 4C Combo Token (maybe needing 2008 & 2009 Ingredient Tokens plus 2003 Retro ingredient tokens?) that might drive some additional Dungeon runs at True Realm.

Thanks,
Mike

I just wished that we would of had the Orb of Pelor last year. This way we would have known that the angel and minion were not evil, because the Orb would of not harmed them. I think I'll use the Orb as a "know aligment - detect evil" in future events!

As far as the Scepter of the Stirge, this may be a way of healing a Cleric that is at 1 hit point by touching each of the healed characters, i.e. 21 hp barbarian, in order to keep alive?

Just thoughts.

Token says with each HIT...as in combat...so I guess if the Cleric was to take a combat slide on the Barbarian...you could do damage to the Barbarian and give the Cleric 1 hp. But there are easier ways to get the Cleric up 1 hp.

Or had your group's friendly Paladin use their 'Detect Evil' ability.

Not that it really helps, especially if the paladin takes the initiative and detects it on their own and nobody listens to them...

did it go something like...

party: it's evil! KILL IT!
paladin: wait, i detect evil...?
GM: you sense that neither 'monster' is evil.
party: it's NOT evil! KILL IT!
this is not a signature.

Actually, something more like...

Group: "Kill it!"
Paladin: "Wait! Detect Evil"
GM: "There's no evil here."
Paladin: "Huh. Group, they're not evil!"
Group (ignoring paladin): "Kill it!"
Paladin: *sighs as they kill the squishy non-evil minion*
Minion: "I was an innocent!"
Paladin: Hey! *celebrity-type individual's name removed*! There's no evil here! Stop fighting!
Celebrity Individual: Oh? Hey guys, there's no evil here, don't attack them!
Group: "Ok!" *stops fighting*
Paladin: *eyeroll and sigh*
