TOPIC: Dragonscale Shield?

Greetings! Forgive me if this question has been answered before, but I wasn't able to locate it on the boards.<br /><br />I notice that the Dragonscale Shield is reappearing this year in shiny new plasticky (i.e., non-wooden) form. Does this mean that the other Dragonscale items (Helmet and Armor) will be reappearing in subsequent years as well? I think the answer is the Dragonscale Shield was reprinted to have it in Chip Form, plus to give people the chance to "Pick Your PURP" it, since when it was originally offered there was no "Pick Your PURP" for $250 program.  I think the Dragonscale Shield came back last year, and isn't part of this year's set.  <br /><br />Only Jeff knows if he'll ever reprint the other Dragonscale items - I wouldn't bet on it happening anytime soon though.  <br /><br />Mike

The thing to know is the helm was reprinted as a chip in 2008 and the armor in 2007, so this should be the end of the replacement cycle of chips for woods.

Not to hi-jack a thread, but do collectors/TD'ers value the Woodie higher then the chip?

some of us collectors value both. one from each year to complete sets from both years. it would really depend on the collector. if a person is just wanting a set, the years may not be important to them.

<br /><br />The Helm and Armor were never printed in wood form, the Chip versions are the only versions of them.
