so, after the talk about getting an 8k order fell apart i was disappointed...those onyx tokens look really cool. so, i thought maybe some others would be interested in various perks offered by the $8k order, and we could all work something out.
if you are interested, send me a PM with the amount you want in for and what you expect to get (deal breakers, what bonuses and/or onyx tokens you want, anything you are willing to give up to get extras*), i am not just looking for 2k buyers(though, i will say minimum of $250), if it takes 13 or more different people pooling various amounts to get to 8k, im cool with that (the issue of course being to find an agreement between us all). obviously, the less you contribute, the smaller your bonus. as i remember it, the bonus for 8k that is not recieved at lower levels is:
4 bonus ONYX URs (and a restriction on one of each onyx UR)
ONYX set of commons, uncommons, and rares
8 modules
8 tickets to big buyer dinner

*at this point we really only need to cover the amount and details that go beyond what that amount would get you on your own...my entry would be something like:
amount: 1500
deal breaker: i want my 3 ONYX URs to be the celestial set.
bonus wanted: 2 tickets to big buyer dinner, 1 module, maybe an extra UR, and various non-UR onyx tokens (amount requested depends on if getting bonus UR).

i could see someone with a simple request of:
amount: 250, wanting: ONYX circlet of arch druid instead of gold backed...and maybe a few non-UR onyx tokens.

really, feel free to suggest anything (even giving up something to get a little extra elsewhere). if we hit the 8k mark, i will sort through everything and see if a deal can be worked out. a $2k order should get approx bonus of 2 big buyer dinner tickets, 2 module, 1 extra ONYX UR, and 1/4 the non-UR onyx tokens, please keep this standard in mind when making requests/suggestions.

i am guessing the biggest hold-up will be people wanting specific onyx URs (like i do), but maybe some people dont care which of thier URs are onyx or can be bribed with other bonuses. i guess we will see how that works out :)

I'm in for $250. Would LOVE to do 1k more than that, but I think my wife would turn me into a eunuch.

My request would be to snag one of the modules.

Of course, anything onyx - especially wizard-related since that's mostly what I have URs left for - couldn't hurt.

Expectations: to have at least one normal UR of my choosing since that's what you'd get with a $250 order if you purchased it solo. My hope would be to get something neat out of it, like a module.

As for URs, there should be 20 Onyx, 16 regular = 26 URs.
If you were to purchase 8k in any other year, you'd receive: 1 UR per 250 spent = 32 URs. I'm not sure that TD threw in any URs in the "extra" tokens (buy 250 tokens, receive 50 extra for a total of 300...so buying 8k tokens would be 1600 extra tokens normally). If they did, that would be another 6 tokens guarunteed.
There should be 1 UR in every 1000 tokens, so that would be another 8 URs in the initial order, and possibly 1 or 2 other URs in the "freebie" tokens.

Prior year: 32 + 8 = 40 "guarunteed" (give or take 1-2 depending upon where you started/stopped in the line of tokens going out) with perhaps 41 as a maximum.

My understanding of this year's is that it would be 20 Onyx URs, 16 regular URs, and 8 "1/1000" URs = 44 URs "guarunteed" (+/- 2) with possibly one extra UR for a possible 45 URs.

I would think we could take the "extra four" or so and make it a random drawing out of all of the participants to see who nabs the extras (one per person, with four winners).
Just a thought.

Good luck finding enough participants and being able to make them all happy.

If this works out, it's going to make parting the red sea look like a parlor trick.

um...wow. i think im confused...of course, you did start by saying 20 and 16 = 26 ;) . i was planning on leaving sealed packs sealed before divying them. leave the random pulls as lucky draws to whoever gets those packs...i realize this may mean i have to leave the big shipment sealed until i get to true realm (or we could pick it up when we get there if that is an option), just as a guarantee there is no cherry picking of those funny wrapped packs. i wonder if the order could come sealed in smaller blocks of packs (ie. every 60 packs sealed seperately)?

I bet you an ONYX UR Lori could pack them in lots of 4...not sure about lots of 40...

FYI - we asked about our possible 4 split and the answer was YES, sure.

That's too bad, I'd go in for $1K but I already made my order... =|

Sheesh Brian. I agree with you again. There is nothing like the thrills the kids get (and me, too) when we are picking those tokens out of the cellophane and sorting them. I don't think I want to trade that for a....gahhhh...."negotiation".

My problem is it is not random for GT/UR. There were several stories of uniquely wrapped token stacks that had UR/GT. With such a large pool to examine I don't see how hard it would to cherry pick those out. At that point it becomes a trust issue with the primary buyer to not keep them for themselves.

You mention the Modules and tickets to the dinner as bonuses that aren't available to the non-$8K buyer, but both the modules and tickets are available to the $1K buyer also (or was the ticket at the $1.5K level?).

Don't forget, the 8 Modules will come (at the minimum) with 8 Rod of Seven Parts Segment #2, so some agreement should be made on who gets those also.
