You guys have to stop finding errors and making good points or I will never stop posting these images. =D

Crown of Might: Incognito had a good point, so I stole his idea. Plus, the change makes some of the other head gear more of a choice for spellcasters. It will give the wearer +1 to hit & +1 to damage.

BTW, the Orb of Might (off-hand slot) will be a trade off for a good shield, and it will have the ability to add two points of damage to any melee hit, while the Scepter of Might will be a +2 3-8 weapon that reduces the monster's "to hit" by one every time it hits (-4 to hit limit per combat). If one person is so lucky or brazen as to possess all three Objects of Might, that person is raised to 4th level, but these 3 objects must be held the entire adventure. Note, however, that the objects of Might are greatly hated by all evil creatures and these creatures will get +2 to hit you.

Edited to remove old info about last year's tokens.

double edged sword: symbol=no damage to monster, what about to players? im thinking stirge room and true arena

HAHA...so the ranger finally gets to use the mithal cap, but you go and make the crown of might amazing for us (+1dam/+1hit for TWO weapons is great)...but rangers will never assemble the might set (not complaining...just debating with myself over which head-gear i want now)...does the might set drawback (monsters +2 to hit) only apply once you have the full set? or do they hate those items so much, that even having one of them is bad for you? any chance you will spill which slots the other two mithral items will be? if rangers can assemble all 5, i imagine that set bonus will make up for no crown of might. i still like my suggestion for the mithral gauntlets (+2 to hit, items immune to rust effects...oh, wait, you said undead theme, guess that doesnt quite fit)...and maybe some mithral greaves.

Ol' 2Edge, where is thy sting? I honestly don't like the "null" effect. It just doesn't capture the nature of the name of the sword now... if we keep the null damage, we could change the name to "+2 Blank-firing Sword". The null effect, while being negative, is anti-climatic to me.

EDIT- Just re-examined the sheet. I really like the changes to the circlets! Great photos and good use of glow on the Druid one. And thanks for giving the 2Edge a diff color glow, but could we go more crimson and less orange? The sling change is a good one too and makes it more unique when compared to the dagger. Maybe a simple +5 damage to *creature type* is the "slaying" effect I was looking for when we first started out designing. OH! and I just saw you used the sundering (armor reduction) effect on the cestus... I like that, but can a monk equip two of these? That would make a monk an armor-dismantling machine.

Thanks Jeff for all the great work!
Legally... its questionable. Morally... its disgusting. Personally... I *like* it.

I am just looking at the might set and thinking, oh my goodness how lethal the rogue will be. Give them the crown, the orb (since they can't use shield) and weapon that has a damage wheel that equals a +2 short sword and viola, rogues are now going to be in heaven (in 3 years). I just wish I could remember what a rogue got at 4th level besides more hitpoints. Tack on the boots of the underdark (which I so wished did not look like keebler elf shoes) and it's sweetness for the rogue.
Mithral Helmet: I made the Mithral Cap usable by normal helm users plus Bards and Rangers (sorry Rogues!) It will have this power: "Adds +1 to AC plus immunity to undead mind control". I had to knock it down to +1 AC since so many classes can use it. Besides, it's small. This set will have a 3-item and a 5-item set power. The 3-item power: +2 to hit with the Mithral sword vs. undead. The 5-item power will be released in 2011.

So you are saying that two items will be released next year (the mithral chain shirt and mystery item #1). Any chance you can tell us what slots the remaining 2 mithral items might take (I use the word might since it is entirely possible to change between now and then)?

Wearing a complete "Might" set gives monsters +2 to hit the wearer since they despise those items, but does it mean the wearer will be the first targeted in combat?

Greyseer's right, can we please get a better image for the Boots of the Underdark? Either that or give the wearer a henchman that looks like the Keebler Elf.

I also agree that the null effect isn't much of a "double edge". It needs something else to provide a true risk/reward.

I think the changes to the Cestus are great, the Circlet's are much improved image-wise and the set effects of "Might" and "Mithral" are very enticing for the right classes.

C'mon the boots are just a picture. How about cute little bells on tips of the feet?

Because bells on the shoes change it santa elves. That and bnells would foil the first round sneak attack (unless its due to the monster laughing at your silly shoes)

Distraction is a legitimate feint, and I doubt Santa will be mad. If you guys are really nice (not naughty), I will ask my wife to spin you a pair of those boots from our sheep's wool for Christmas. Maybe Henwy will supply the bobs at the end. Seriously, I don't care what they look like. I will use the token if I play rogue, and Jeff still needs to make pretty and way more powerful stuff for the wizard too.
I also agree that the null effect isn't much of a "double edge". It needs something else to provide a true risk/reward.

What if the 2Edge had a normal damage wheel and deals 1 point of damage back to the user for every 5 full points of damage dealt?

EDIT- *or*, just had this idea... make the sword "+2 Cursed Sword" with the juicy damage wheel, but the curse could be different every year- you have to decide to use the sword for the adventure before you find out the curse.

One thought I had was to increase the self-inflicted damage spots on the wheel. Maybe have 2 or possibly even 3 starbursts that indicate user damage taken (of a fixed amount) and then increase the average damage given of the remaining 3 or 4 spots on the wheel.

Don't you think the "double-edge" of the sword is that you can do a lot of damage -- but there is a chance of doing no damage as well -- even with a "20"?
