I've been a confirmed wizard historically whenever I was not a DM, but the wizard is so weak in TD and the rogue is developing into such a cool non fighter class, I may be swayed.

If I remember right you dont have to crit on the second slide but only hit the target you are attacking. 

We were told we had to crit twice for the BoL to function.
