Simple. Takes a turn to swap any equip if you're already in combat. Otherwise, there is no limit.

I'm pretty sure TD ruled you can swap out weapons instantaneously, except for the heavy crossbow which takes a turn (so you can't get around the "fires every other turn" restriction).

I don't think I saw a ruling on armor though.

I don't think you're getting the point. You've stated your opinion quite a few times now and it's pretty clear what you think. What you have to realize is that not everyone agrees and you should just cut your losses since it's just like spitting into the wind. It's even worse in that I'm not even sure that anyone agrees with you on your point. You're welcome to keep pushing it if you want, but you're an army of one.
My point is I think some things are large enough power creeps to warrent an increase of rarities and there are some changes that do not. The FILS increase I do not think warrents an increase in rarity (if it remains +2/+3), where as the Torc should (as we have the precedence of the bracers +1 Rare going to UR when it became +2)

I did agree with you initially on the Torc, as I'd suggested a +2 Amulet of Armor as a PURP. But, I can certainly see the point of it being a Rare, because since the +1 Amulet of Armor came out there have been a number of extremely powerful items in that slot (Horn of Plenty, Medallion of Greyhawk, Amulet of Wonder) that really raised the power level needed to compete in that slot. That, and (I think) the desire of TD to give more people alternatives to the HoP, drove the +2 Rare Amulet. In fact, I won't be at all surprised if, in a year or two, there is a PURP neck-slot item that gives +3 or +4 AC.

that's the wrong sort of comparrison to make on the torc IMO. YOu're comparing it to the large number of URs and combos, which is the wrong way to go. IT should be compared to other neck slot rares, which it surpasses greatly. It's almost not a comparison. Amulet of armor and amulet of thorns. The torc would surpass them all by an order of magnitude. Making the Torc a UR, would make it equal to the other items in its rarity class.

All of that being said, greyseer's shield concept still makes no sense to me. He's pointing at the torc as if to say, look how horrible that is that if it exists then my slightly less horrible idea should exist as well. My take is that both should be whomped.

Ah, now I get your point and if you wanted me to save bandwidth I wish you had requested me to do so sooner. Please accept my Mea Culpa. I thought the purpose of this thread was the open discussion of the tokens and the debate of the merits of the suggestions of all posters and it was not my intention to offend the opinions of others. But perhaps you are right, that because it's jeffs world with jeffs rules, that no opinions matter than jeffs and that pursuasive arguements are not needed. As such then there is no need to have us see the tokens in advance (as in the early years). But I really believe that jeff wants the discussion we have and I look forward to further subject discussions and if you truly do not me to reply to some point you have made then please let us know and I will endeavor to honor your request, but when I see questions (like "what's your point?") I think I have been unclear and try to address those questions.
