Nope potion this year. The druids really did not use them. But don't worry, there are huge amounts of Elixirs and Potions of Death's Door around from previous years.

druids used them? druids conducted human sacrifice I believe.

Now THERE'S an idea - sacrifice a party member to bring another one back to life! People could rent themselves out as sacrificial lambs.

Several people have already thought of that...or at least wished it was possible...

the elixers are woodies, therefore, most likely out of circulation and in collections or purple and still hard to come by.

the death's doors were eaten up pretty bad by combo trade-ins and probably pretty hard to get a hold of as well.

I agree - huge is not the best word I would choose.

Huge describes the number of one point potions on the market - and we know those get used every year!

A one-year "dry spell" may not hurt either... will make us appreciate them a lot more in 2010.

Legally... its questionable. Morally... its disgusting. Personally... I *like* it.

I like the fact that it is gone, I think it really evens things up between big token buyers and new players - big token buyers often have a handful (or bagful) of resurrection tokens and Rare Healing Tokens, new groups are lucky to have even one. Plus, I think it adds to the suspense of the event, knowing that if you die you are actually dead, instead of having a handful of resurrection tokens to make sure everyone survives every run. I hope that they are gone permanently, and not for just a year. At least gone from the Rare slot - maybe a resurrection token can come back as a PURP eventually, possibly with several charges, like an Elixir of Life with 3 Charges. I don't think it hurts play to not have resurrection tokens - my group never owned a resurrection token until 2007, and we had a great time, even when not everyone survived. Where is the thrill of victory if there is no chance of defeat? =)
