so Henwy, would the proverbial mithril codpiece take up a previously uncommitted slot or an entirely new one - and what would you call it?

What is the LOINS slot? Alex

It's just a waist slot like the girdle.
No, I just used it as an auto hit, which when the Druid rolls in with AC 30 the look on their face that you hit them is priceless enough. =D

That was me!! =)

Jeff,

Since you said that there were changes (meaning multiple?) to the tokens. How about updating the first page of each type (so that we can look at them in context)?

Thanks

Has anyone said anything about golden tickets for this upcoming year? or silver tickets? I know that the token planning process is supposedly moving much faster then in years previous so I didn't know if this was discussed at all.

I think Jeff said that the Golden Tickets would be done similarly to last year, and that they would once again be randomly distributed into the Token Run.

Good deal, that answer would confirm how many $250 packs our group will be buying now then =D

Plus, if you buy a set amount (not sure what that amount is), you can get in on some special top buyer stuff at True Realm.

We will have 16 Golden Tickets in 2009 - and no Silver Tickets. We are just going with one larger printing of tokens next year, as factory minimums have changed.

I would, but stuff will even change as we are laying out the tokens because of text limits, not being able to find a good graphic and my ever-changing whims. I think the best thing is just to wait and see the artwork.

I do remember one other change. The Boots of Speed have been replaced by the Boots of the Underdark (Rogues only). =D

Why would the shield now be a helm? I thought it made a lot more thematic sense as a shield, not only as a nod to past DnD shields of reflection but all the way back to Clash of the Titans. Not to mention, it would fit the whole item balance where we usually have AC +X for an item or AC + (X-1) with a special ability as compared to the tower shield last year. Changing it to a helm directly upsets this balance giving us a +3 AC helm with a special ability which makes it immediately better than the dragonscale helm available just the previous year which only had +2 and a special ability. Seeing as they were both sets it's clear that one is better than the other (Not that i even ascribe to the theory that being part of a set somehow offsets an underpowered item). I guess you could make it a mithril helm if the AC were dropped to +2 which would make it sort of on par with the dragonscale helm, both being +2 with a special ability. It just seems sorta odd to lose the theme elements mentioned above. Was there any particularly good reasoning behind shifting it to a helmet?

its +2 with an ability...and the photo I found looks sweet!

(and once you see the whole set theme it all works)

and im hoping/guessing that rangers can wear this helm? just wanting confirmation, as either rangers finally get a helm they can wear, or i am confused as to why it was changed at all (i didnt expect rangers to get a helm, thats why i suggested gauntlets).
