<br /><br />True, but Rare Weapons are going for maybe a buck apiece now, and it will only get worse each year as more hit the market, and more people get PURP weapons & Armor.

Just the thought that everyone has multiple sets of 25 rare weapons or armor is a little depressing yet it doesnt stop me from buying more and more.

Legally... its questionable. Morally... its disgusting. Personally... I *like* it.

<br /><br />I might have missed something, but I thought the Directors had said that all of the "2008" items would again be available in later 2008 or early 2009.  I sure hope so - I haven't traded in for any of those yet.<br /><br />I would, however, like to have some idea of what they'll be used for and how many we'll want...and whether or not we should turn in "all of our spares" now or if there will be future Trade Items requiring the same formula (gear and items, weapons, etc.).<br /><br /><br />JKW<br />

John,<br />I have always posted "official" news in locked threads that stay at the top of the forum areas.<br /><br />It is our intention to have Trade Items be perminantly available things, like the Reserve Tokens.  That is why they were printed with the red border without any symbols to indicate they did not belong to a specific year, it is also why we are printing more of the Dwarven Steel.<br /><br />Dave

Thank you, Dave.<br /><br />I thought that was correct on both accounts - the locked tacked thread and the reprints.<br /><br />The only thing is, I don't see a tacked thread listing the 2008 Trade Items, so I figured it somehow became unachored and lost to the archives.  I know you're very busy, so I'm not expecting anything soon, but would it be possible to consolidate all of the 2008 and 2009 Trade Item data in one tacked thread?<br /><br />OR - If I've just totally missed this thread and someone knows where it is.... could someone please post the URL.<br />My search turned up empty.

<br /><br />We started them to help people out by making it available to trade things they did not want.  It was my originally my thinking that these trade items would be ingredients for special combos that would require the trade ingredients to make.  That will be the case this year, there will be two additional combos that will have as part of the formula, trade item tokens.  Any formula will require the trade items as part of the mix.<br /><br />The other line of thinking was to use trade item tokens for other in and out of game perks.  The status of those things will depend on space and resource availability, but it is the intent to provide some things to do with trade items beyond just making combos.  They could, for instance, be part of a "special admission price" for an event.  I think our options are wide open at this point.  <br /><br />We do not have all the details yet, but we do intend to provide things to do with Trade Items.<br /><br />Dave
