A real good use of Bone Scroll case is as a snorkle, to breath while the stirges do not.

That's brilliant. Really it is. True innovation at its best, internally consistent, logical, and not requiring any rule modifications or extensions of reality outside the standard for the genre.

thats why I do all my arcane and divine writings using a 'Magic Sharpie' (tm).

Why worry about damp dungeons, raging rivers and placid pools when you know your scrolls are finely scribed using the most durable of markers. Do not settle on simple quill and ink when you can ensure your words of wisdom and the power arcane with the 'Magic Sharpie.' Buy now, available in 8 different colors, including the one in ten Platinum ink edition. Please specifiy Divine or Arcane when ordering.
I'd like to see new trade tokens for:
1 Common Gear
2. Rare Weapons
3. Common Scrolls
4. Uncommon Gear/Masterwork Items

Thinking out of the box, how about a Trade Item that would let you trade in any 25 Rare Tokens you didn't want? That would take care of excess Rare Weapons, Armor, Scrolls, etc with one token, and by allowing any Rares to be traded for it, its more likely people could get one or more. Thinking further out of the box, if this Trade Token also had a GP calue (even if just 25 or 50 GP per rare traded in) you might have a bunch of them spent on auctions, which would do a GREAT job of getting a LOT of Rare tokens out of circulation, sparking more sales.
Along the same lines, how about having one catch-all Trade Token for all non-armor and non-weapon Uncommon Tokens? If you did this plus the Rare Trade Token I mention above, you have covered every single Uncommon and Rare Token with Trade Tokens.

If you add in a Trade Token for all non-armor and non-weapon common tokens, you can have trade tokens for every token ever printed and that ever will be printed with the addition of these three new Trade Tokens to the existing four. That would be win-win, good for players by letting them trade in every single excess token, and good for TD by getting all these tokens out of distribution and spurring new sales.

If you assigned a GP value to these new Trade Tokens, it would double their value by letting players use them in Combo Tokens AND in Auctions - which is good for TD because it will make players want them more and spend them faster - making them want to buy more tokens - it creates a much more circular token economy. If they can only use the trade tokens for combos, many people will quikly get more than they will ever need, and then the Trade Tokens will start piling up just like the tokens they traded for them had piled up.

Thanks for asking for our input!

Mike

Definitely something to deal with the common items that are not already handled.

Speaking of which, when should we expect another shot at the previous 4 trade items? I've got like 1000 tokens to trade in for those previous 4 :-P

I think you can still send tokens to Dave for the trade tokens.

I like those ideas a lot. Keeping things circulating will definitely be a boost for the token economy, and will help to sustain it. The only difference is that I would like to see more Trade Items (than just 4 + 3 new ones). If 10-12 trade items could cover every item ever printed, I think that would provide for some nice variety in the second tier. I think a few more trade-in items like Common Gear, Common Scrolls, Uncommon Gear/Masterwork Items, and Rare Weapons/Armor would be good, topped off with a catch-all Trade Item for each rarity. With a catch-all item, you'd get rid of any practically worthless items, provided the Trade Items had a use (or at least a gp value).
Although 25 rare weapons or armor might be a little excessive for a trade item since that is $250 dollars in token packs or unusable tokens.
