TOPIC: Rumor Tokens in 2008

We found the rumors last year very valuable - they warned us of the Medusa (Life like statue rumor) they hinted that wizard liked to work in Pewter (the only pewter item was the goblet with him pointing at a book), and while we processed the rumor incorrectly (look at things from a different perspective) which we did not apply to the Moon puzzle room, but instead applied to the final room.  It did help us out.<br />Rumors like the golem would not attack if everyone dropped their weapons I am sure would have been true, but I cannot imagine any combat run participant doing that willingly.<br />So I can't speak to the percentage that were true,  I would say many were at least useful.<br /><br />

If you're going to do rumors across multiple runs, the best thing is just to have everyone pool their rumor tokens right at the start of the first run and just buy it out. Doing it piecemeal leads to retreads. That said, it'd be spiffy to know how many there are going to be total just so we can have the tokens ready.

<br /><br />Errr...umm... I can personally vouch for the fact that that rumor was NOT true.  *sigh*  One born every minute...<br />

<br /><br />I did that last year.  As I recall, basically every True rumor had an oposite, False rumor.  It was not quite what I hoped for.
