TOPIC: Rumor Tokens in 2008

So with no Rumor tokens being published in the Token Run for 2008, should I bother bringing them along for this year's run?  <br /><br />Will they function like they did last year (Minor = 1 rumor, Major =3), or will they function as it is written in the Token Guide (Minor = 1 rumor that  is 50% right, Major = 1 rumor 75% right)?<br /><br />If you don't have Rumor tokens what will be used instead (assuming Rumors will be given out at all)?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />greyseer<br />

i loved the rumors last year. it added a tease factor. i hope they are used this year even though they were not part of the token run.

Bring your Rumor tokens...<br /><br />We will have a batch of new rumors even though we don't have any Rumor tokens this year.  We do phase them in and out to keep the idea fresh.  They will probably be back next year.<br /><br />And it will be minor = 1 and major = 3.

Blasted rumors and the clue boxes have never helped us out. It's a really small window to hit. We solve some puzzles on our own and never need the clues. The ones that we can't solve, the clues have never made the difference. You can always see afterwards how they apply if someone walks you through it but they've never provided a eureka moment yet. I did spend  quite a lot of time on that white dragon snipe hunt though. I kept wondering if it was supposed to have tokens pop out of it or something.

Kim is right, that was the one rumor I found to be true last year. . .

And that is the nature of rumors.... sometimes they are true, sometimes they are not.<br />Just think of them as dungeon gossip.<br /><br />My group had enough rumor tokens that I think we pulled 10 or 11 rumors.  A couple of them helped, but only if you really thought about them.  I mean come on... what fun would it be if the rumor was, "The answer to the puzzle in the third room is DESPAIR"?
