TOPIC: What are the odds?

I REALLY want Mage Armor. What are the chances that Mage Armor would be for sale at the Tavern or be one of the Wizard's memorized spells?

Basically, I am trying to figure out how rare it really is.

Still fixated on playing a Wizard, but I don't like my current AC 10. Don't make me be a cleric. You wouldn't like the Heal hog cleric that I tend to play. Well at least my friends won't.

Does anyone know what the starting Wizard's Dex is?

The wizard had the worst AC of the group...and no dex bonus as I recall - I was constantly healing him...hahahaha

As for MA - just hold tight - they will turn up.

Will they be a starting spell - I doubt it.

There should be absolutely no chance it's a starting spell. What would be the point after all. You only need one shot of it and it lasts teh whole adventure. It would make tokens of it completely worthless.

Well you can make mage armor starting spell for a mage but make it that it only last for one room. The token would last for the whole adventure. Also people that have spells, should have at least one free spell slot of there choosing from a list of available spells.

Even better idea the mage shop would have a few books with spells they would actually have to read. Choosing the spell of there choice they would read about the spell, like a short story or poem and so forth. The person running the mage shop would ask a question about the spell they just read. If answered correctly. They would have memorized the spell for the dungeon.

Yeah! I am being traded Mage Armor. I won't feel so pathetic now.
