TOPIC: Halfling rogues and what they can use or need.

What are good ideas for armor, weopan and other equipment that would be good for adventuring.  I will gladly accept all the help I get.  Help is like gold your always glad you have to much , but if a dragon is after you, don't be greedy and just take the good stuff.

The Halfling Rogue is +3 to hit with ranged weapons due to DEX.  A sling or shortbow is a reliable to hit weapon of choice for the little guy.<br /><br /><br /><br />

If you're looking at Rares and below, Elven Chain armor is the best, with the common Studded Leather second.  As my Bro said, a Shortbow is probably the best weapon (maybe with some Masterwork Arrows and Bracers of Archery), and a +1 Shortsword is always nice.  A +1 or +2 Cloak of Resistance is nice, or an Elven Cloak for hiding when necessary.  Elven Boots are great for the automatic Backstab attack, but the Boots of the Leopard are also nice for when you fail to disarm that mechanical trap.  Masterwork Thief Tools is a must, to give you one retry per adventure.  Potions of Detect Secret Doors are nice.  <br /><br />Some of the "all class" items, like Ioun Stones, Gauntlets of Ogre Might, +1 Amulet of Armor, +1 Bracers of Defense, Belt of Retrieval, and a couple of nice Magic Rings.  <br /><br />If you look at Ultra-Rares, a +2 Flaming Shortbow or Nightshade's +2 Shortsword are the best weapons for the Rogue, Mithral Chain is the best armor, Gloves of Dexterity add to AC and missile weapon attacks, and Ektdar's Tinkering Tool really helps with the traps. 

OK, I have a question. I know thta Rogues may use this (along with any others I assume since its a potion) but what "in play" use are Potions of Darkvision? I know there are Potions of Detect Secret Doors, Detect Magic, etc., that use special lights. What would this Potion of Darkvision do? Thanks.

Before we gave out the little LED light for eading tokens etc., the potion of Darkvision gave the individual a special red light that the individual could use as a light source in the dungeon.
