TOPIC: Scroll question

Scroll question 16 years 1 day ago #1

I realize this is a stupid question, but: Are scrolls one-use items? Or are they good for the whole dungeon?

Dave

Scrolls are consumed upon use.
But as for how long their effects last varies.
Most spells are instantaneous, lasting long enough for that magic missle to zap someone.
Some spells have a bit longer time, like Comprehend languages where you get about 30 seconds.
Others last the entire time you are in a room, like Mind Blank lasts a whole combat.
The longest lasting spell is Mage Armor, which you cast right at the start of the adventure and will be with the mage until the end of the run or until it gets dispelled (a theoretical possibility).
So in short, scrolls are one use items with variable length, see the token guide for each scroll in question, or ask the DM in the room when you use it.
Greyseer

Thanks for the reply, I was pretty sure they were one-use.

Dave
