The real poll question should be what will you use on every dungeon adventure given that you have one...

<br /><br />I would have to say Horn of Plenty.  I love loot!

Best setup is to play rope a dope. Have someone else wear the HoP and you get the extra tokens while wearing the AoW (if spellcaster) or Med (if not)

Of course, there won't be any more Horns of Plenty printed, probably ever.  So, the second best neck slot item is the best a lot of people will be able to get.

<br /><br />There's a way to get even more loot from a treasure box without a HoP. All it requires is a little ingenuity. Jammies is helping me work out the details.

kinda what henwy said, i have two horns that i plan on NOT wearing.  i will let two friends wear them, they can keep most tokens they pull, all i want is an auto trade+good deal on ingredients, dungeon only, and URs they pull.  i will probably wear the amulet of wonder and loan the new amulet to another friend.

I kind of screwed up when I did not realize that people would be sharing their Horn.  Ooops.<br /><br />Please consider NOT loaning out your Horn of Plenty to other players, so that things don't get really out of hand in 2008.  I promise to make the treasure token generators much more Ingredient and Rare heavy, if you guys will not get too crazy about loaning out your HoP.  If things get nuts next year and we run out of tokens, then we may have to take steps to insure it does not happen again.<br /><br />I should have made it a Potion of Treasure Finding....

<br /><br />The problem I have with this is - well to be blunt - a lack of vision should not be imposed on the players (directly).<br /><br />When this token was born the powers were well known - with the only exception being riddle boxes VS combat boxes...<br /><br />Several folks went out and bought PYP packs to get doubles (or MORE) of the HoP...<br /><br />Jeff made the request, and to date this is the only token TD is ASKING players to refrain from doing with it what they want...<br /><br />Personally, I spent my $$$ got what I asked for and see nothing but fun behind having a token that I loan out and get to dicker over the terms of loaning it out.  I don't forsee loaning this thing out more than 4-5 times per CON...and considering I run with folks that most likely have it - or will refuse to borrow it - it could be quite less.  <br /><br />Personally, I'm sad that the HoP was requested not to loan between players...for the price of a RUN the tokens gained as treasure is a small give-back...plus the fun of splitting up more treasure is adding to the event not hurting it.<br /><br />Now I said do not impose this directly...by that I think TD can do several things to discourage HoP use... For starters, seeing treasure boxes go back to an assortment of lessor items and ingredients to perhaps discourage the HoP.  TD could also switch to giving ingredients to the entire surviving party members when they win a room...take ingredients out of the boxes all together (make the treasure boxes GP or weapons/items only)...<br /><br />Anyway, I plan to loan, not outside a group I am running with - but I do plan to offer the HoP as a loaner...if this brings on the wrath of Jeff...well, I'll just have to be sure and give him a cut of the loot! (Wait that is part of my point...he got his cut of loot upfront!)<br /><br />It is all in fun afterall - a few extra tokens pulled from the box is just that - and making a deal over wearing a borrowed HoP is kinda kewl IMHO...like having a minority share in that person's adventure...

Now you tell me!  After all, it was the thread where I asked if anyone could loan me a HOP (and you responded) that led Jeff to that statement.  I went out and bought a PyP just to get one...

<br /><br />well, i plan on buying up two full runs for various friends (took a few new friends different times last year and now my whole gaming group wants in ), then during those runs i have a few awesome items like the horn and amulet that i cant use all of, so they go out to friends.  im actually not trying to abuse the system, just getting value from my tokens.
