TOPIC: 2008 Token Guide Feedback

Version 8.0 7.0 is out, I will be working through a post con update with the special tokens from the event.  <br /><br />Let me know if there are issues you have found (I am locking the errata and using that as a starting place).<br /><br />Sorry, I am getting ahead of myself...

I was going to proofread the token guide again and send it to you (ditto the Player's Guide) - I'll get right on it.  Let me know if you'd like me to review anything else.<br />

Pretty sure Brian actually was the one that caught it...<br /><br />Other than the old WIZ sheets getting out and someone calling the WIZ card out - I don't recall the specifics...

Shocking Grasp - Token vs. Guide vs. DM<br />The guide says must be slid to Hit AC-15, token does not (unlike the Scroll of Scorching Ray).<br />During our Run, I asked a DM and he said it does not require a slide.<br />So which is it, slide (and thus future reprints should include this), or no slide (and as such the guide needs to be corrected).<br /><br />Ring of Wizardry - does it work on spells only, or spells and scrolls?  If it is spells only it should probably say Spells Only, much like the wording on the Ring of Focus  which says "It does not apply to scrolls or other artifacts."  Otherwise it should have wording that makes it clear that scrolls can benefit from this item.

<br />From the Token Guide.<br /><br />Page 35: <br />Shocking Grasp: This melee attack requires the player to hit AC 15 to discharge the effect.  The spell lasts  until the charge is dissipated through a successful attack of the combat ends. Contact does 6 points of damage.

yup - that was my though - grasp implies you have to hit to grab...BHands on the other hand is a ranged attack that is automatic...(or does that one also require a to hit slide...)<br /><br />I tell ya - Wizard stuff - it's too complicated!

But then why put on scrolls like Scorching Ray the "To Hit" text.  Either the Shocking Grasp Token s/b like Scorching Ray going forward (thus noting the to hit) or the To Hit s/b removed from the Token Guide.

What ever winds up on the tokens is what Jeff wanted, it doesn't necessarily have to make sense.<br /><br />
