TOPIC: Boots dilema

Boots dilema 16 years 1 month ago #1

Ok, so I am trying to figure which boot should be worn by whom.

Ok, the rogue by default should be wearing Elvenkind.
But I am more interested in what our Palidin, who is typically the guy in front, should be wearing. Boots of Free Action or Boots of the Leopard? What I am concerned is in the final battle there will be a proliferation of Hold, Slow, and other nasty spells in play. But I suspect through the dungeon there will be traps. So I am curious what the gathered are considering doing with their footwear.
Thanks in advance to any replies
Greyseer

Whatever the boots, might I suggest Dr. Scholls(spelling?) Memory Foam inserts. Cause comfy shoes make feet happy. :)

Go-karts with a bigass cowcatcher on the front would be even better.

Do traps do enough damage to kill you? If not, then go for the Boots of Free Action for the point man, and have a mess of healing about.

Also I understand that you can fry up boot leather, and eat it!
You could try wearing the Boots of the Leopard, and have a Universal solvent with you, so if you get stuck, you can apply the solvent to free yourself and then put on the boots of Free Movement.

GOOD point! There is definately nothing in game to mimic the Leopard boots...not sure the US would get you out of a HOLD spell...but web or goo should work.

well, i agree that rogue default is elvenkind. as for others, i usually play ranger and try to be up front (that is part of ranger's job, isnt it?), so i was thinking i want the leopard boots for a little extra safety from traps. then i figure the wizard and bard can wear leopard boots too, just in case, and because if they get stuck in place, oh well, start singing and casting. the main fighters i was thinking want the protection of free action to make sure they can get in there and do some damage.
