that makes a lot of sense.

*grumbles and walks away to re-re-re-re-re-reorganize yet again*

Here I thought I was alone in liking to organize and reorganize. No better way to get the thrill of stacking and sorting and hearing the satisfying 'clink' as they come together. Maybe they're Legos for adults? Maybe I need an intervention? Maybe after I pull together a 2008 set, put them in their own box, and figure out which ones are missing. Yeah, we'll schedule the intervention for after that... but do I organize alphabetically within rarity or across rarities? Maybe try it both ways... then maybe an intervention.

binia

Oh, the pain...the pain... ;/
Another evening of hearing Smaegel talking about the Precious... I'll need to find my ear plugs or I'll never get to sleep tonight. :laughing7:
Cranston

NO FAIR getting me to tell him how to spell Smaegal! And how to find more icons!

There, there, my precious - we'll gets him, we will!

Anything that gets printed in the annual token run photos shown on TD webpages constitutes an "annual set token" in my opinion...we all know certain tokens are made in a certain year - but should they be given membership to the set?

I look at ingredients as annual tokens - but they can not be purchased in a pack - so they are not part of the set. They are like tournament give away cards - or prizes if you like. I guess that is how I differentiate them. Do I say someone without the Ring of the Eye does not have a full set of "Thorns" ?? - no - if they have one of each gold or PLAT token sold in a pack - they have the set.

The Golden Ticket falls into the "outside-set" category as well...

Should a die-hard collector want everything made in a certain year...good luck! But that can surely be called something other than the Spider set - or the Thorns set or 2008 set. Just call it a set of everything printed in a year or something...
