if you have a bard, then you gotta get the lute. thats one more attack then normal. that item alone is making me think of taking up bard again instead of ranger. heck if you need a bard let me know when and where. bard is a fun class to play, you can use every scroll, and you get all the ladies.

<br /><br />Hola Sherf... yer always welcome to play Bard on a run with the Companions of Chaos.  Our bard won't be coming to GenCon this year since she will be giving birth to our Paladins son in April.  Our Paladin insists he is still coming to GenCon while his bardic wife stays home and sings to the kidlet.  The +2 lute is pretty kewl, granting +2 to the party and still having the ability to do an action is kewl.

Mithral Long Sword (ranger is awesome slider so this would improve his game)<br />Ekdars Tool (our rogue seems to rotate in our group so anything to help them is a plus)<br />Widesths Lute (as the bard I would love to do something with the group during combat, BUT - the question is will the bard still need to sing do get the effect? Because I know I can't sing and slide so this may fall off this list).

+1 Mighty Long Bow is my First Choice<br />Need a Girdle of Hill Giant Str<br />Would like a Dragonscale Helm<br />Thinking about the Amulet of Wonder but I have a HoP, so I am very conflicted.  I really want to see the level 4 character sheets before I decide.<br />+1 Broadsword of Lifestealing is awesome (It's only a shame that Paladins are too wussy to use the essence of another man's soul to fuel their lust for violence.  High and mighty bastards.<br />+1 Tower Shield is equally awesome but I still cry because clerics can't use it.  Really, who else aside from a fighter will use that?  Barbarians and Paladins seem to have more a penchant for two handed weapons.  +2 Holy Greatsword is going to trump any desire for 4 more ac.  But, the mace of Dispelling might be cool.<br />The Mace of Dispelling might be cool but I am weary of it.  I am not lucky enough to have a Gearon's Mace so I have always used a +1 Heavy Mace in combat which out damages the Mace of Dispelling.  So do I really think that it is worth enough to do a PYP and get a MoD?  Not really.  I am certain that there will be a few awesome stories from a Monk, Paladin or Cleric who kills a monster in a single blow and the DM looked amazed then said he'd be back in 10 minutes when he's had a smoke.  But it is such a small chance of actually sdelivering the mighty blow that I would never expect it.  It would be awesome but I don't crit often enough.  Even if we were to go on averages you might say that one crit out of every 8 crits would be an insta-kill.  I probably crit once or twice a TD run through so on average I would maybe possible kill someone on a crit every 4 runs... In the mean time I could have done one more point of damage on every hit that I make.  I'm going to have to go for the +1 Heavy Mace on this one but I sure would love to get a MoD as a random one.<br />I'm also going to get the awesome Troll Hide Armor Proof Token soon so that is one that I don't need to worry about.<br /><br />It is really tough for me to decide on what I would want but I am going to have to narrow down that list.  Grr, tough choices.

The bad part about waiting to see the 4th level character sheets before you decide on the Amulet of Wonder is that I think Jeff mentioned a while back that it wouldn't be until June that he could work on the character sheets.  You might check on that.  <br /><br />Kim

<br /><br />I think I agree, if there is a PYP I think I'll get the amulet of wonder.  Even though it will have god knows what effect every year, it just seems kewl.

I would imagine if the Horn is still "over used" this year...maybe the AMoW will have to be something really cool next year.
